It is oh so hard to see England getting a win in this match after their poor performances in their first three Tests. Their top order has failed to set a good base for the rest of the team. Even though the lower order has been good, they have had to chase the game in each Test. Australia's bowling attack is deep and varied, while England have only one recognised spinner.

The weather in Melbourne can be a bit dodgy to predict, but the forecast right now is for good weather. I will hedge on that, though, just in case there are enough stoppages to save England from another defeat.

Hobart saw off the Renegades in short order and now top the table. With the Scorchers losing to a Brisbane side that lost to the Renegades, collateral form says that Hobart will win this match.

The last time these two sides met, Cape Town won very easily. They went on to win a lot of games and eventually won the T20 final. They have a top side that should be able to win this match.

Joburg were ranked 4 for the 20x20 series above Pretoria and advanced further in that event than Pretoria. Both teams' form is very mixed, but Joburg did beat Pretoria easily when they last met. A narrow vote for the away side.

Paarl Royals lost out in the semis of the 20x20 tournament in a closely run game. They were ranked 2 in that event and the Sunrisers 3. That shows me two sides that were in good form, and this game should be a close one. I will take the Royals just because of the home-field advantage.
