Would have aimed for +4.5. Although he's been playing well and during that managed to win the Challenger in Trieste recently, having to go through qualifications and playing 7 rounds to finish as a winner against Tirante, beating Nagal along the way. Matej did lose to Choinski recently, which was sort of expected. On the other hand, Passaro has just had a good tournament in Gstaad, finally losing to Kym in the 1/8 of the tournament.

Tipperary managed to get to the final by beating Kilkenny 4-20 to 0-30. Earlier this year, they've managed to beat the current champions in Clare 4-18 to 2-21 and tie with Limerick 2-23 each. Cork, however, had an easy game against Dublin, beating them 7-26 to 2-21. Earlier in the year, they tied with Clare 2-24 to 3-21, as well as getting embarrassed by Limerick 1-16 to 3-26, but managed to get their revenge later in the year. Cork beat Tipperary 4-27 to 0-24. Although the final won't be as close, Cork should win comfortably this year.

Bublik got to this stage with relative ease. 1/8 with 6:2 & 6:3 against a 101 ranked player and 1/4 with 6:4 & 6:3 against a 74 ranked player. Cazaux, however, had to walk through thorns. Beating Basilashvili in 1/16 with 2:1 in a tiebreak in the 3rd set. Etcheverry in 1/8 with 2:1 and finally Kym in 1/4 with 2:1. Both players are historically hard surface players, while Bublik has increased his stake in clay tournaments with great success. Cazaux has somewhat struggled with the same and as a young player showed some inconsistencies which, to be fair, the clay surface forgives. Odds in regards to the form and history are slightly inflated towards Bublik.
