I think Pendragon will win as everything lines up perfectly for him. First off, he's flying at the moment - won three on the bounce, including a really impressive one over course and distance just a few weeks ago. He didn't just win, he absolutely bolted up by over 4 lengths and still looked like he had plenty left in the tank. Trained by Sir Mark Prescott, known for getting horses like this to peak at exactly the right time, and this is textbook Prescott. Step up in trip, gradual rise through the handicap, and the horse just keeps on improving. Luke Morris is back on board again as he has ridden Pendragon for all three of those wins, so he knows exactly how to get the best out of him. The track suits, Sandown has a bit of a stiff finish, and Pendragon handles it no problem, as proved last time. Ground looks fine as well. Even with a 9lb rise in weights, I still believe he's well ahead of the handicapper. The way he won last time suggests there's more to come, and the bookies agree. He's favourite for a reason!!
