Has performed well at this meeting for the past 2 seasons, and has dropped quite a way in the handicap as a result of his poor 2024 form. His Handicap Marks for the past 2 runs here at this meeting were 90 & 88 and races today off a much lower mark of 76. If he can produce a similar effort this time around, the selection could be hard to beat.

Absolutely loves Ascot with his top 3 RPRs all at CD. Granted, he's not the force of old and he's dropped quite a way in the handicap, but there have been signs of life recently and a running on 2nd LTO at Southwell augurs well for a good run at his favorite track. Rossa aboard, draw is fine too in 10. The 7-year-old still has a win or two in him yet.

The horse was rated 80 this time last year and is racing off 67 tonight, with the jockey taking off a further 5 lbs. Dropped in grade slightly and racing against her own sex tonight, a good run can be expected.

One of the more interesting runners at Wolverhampton tonight, Autumn Festival is officially rated 12lbs inferior on the AW vs Turf. For a 6-year-old, it has only had 8 runs on the AW. There may be an opportunity to exploit this mark. 1-1 in Class 6 races and the trainer's horses are running well, 1-7 with a further 3 placed, operating at over 50% win/place for a small yard is pretty decent stuff. The 3rd place at Kempton was a good run in a higher grade 2 runs ago, whilst LTO nothing went right. Reared at the start, lost all chance, and the jockey dropped his whip too. I can forgive that run. Good chance today granted all goes well.

Unlucky LTO when unable to mount a serious challenge after being denied a run, the drop back in trip slightly and the jockey change should help today with the stable in flying form.

Form figures read 211111 when dipping below the BHA rating of 70 and races off 67 today. Had a pipe opener 20 days ago, finishing a never nearer 7th, beaten under 5L, with the form somewhat given a boost after VISIBILITY, 5th in that race, winning yesterday at Thirsk.

I think it's quite significant R Fahey has booked Ryan Moore to ride this one. 1-1 in the past 5 years for Fahey, so not someone he rides for very often. Highly tried as a 2yo, you can forget the last run as the soft going wouldn't have suited. Back on a sound surface today, I'd expect a far better showing today.

Disappointed LTO when FAV at Southwell, but had won the time before over 8F at Lingfield under today's rider Mason Patael (7) and is good value for the claim. DISCLOSURE is back in against her own sex tonight with her stable still firing in winners. I'd be confident of a good run.

Runs today from 20lbs below last winning mark @ Ripon over 6F in August 2023. Had a run at Newcastle a few weeks ago after a wind op and finished 5th weakening late on after a break of 144days. Hopefully will have come on from that run with trip/ground all in favour today, no reason the selection wont run well. Trainer Paul Midgeley horses have been running well without winning and its only a matter of time before they do, and Twelfth Knight is too well handicapped to not win a race at some point. In 2024 the horse dropped 18lbs in the handicap hitting the frame only once finishing 3rd but still posting very respectable RPR ratings in the high 80's, any sort of reproduction of those should see him win this.

For the 3rd run with new trainer Danny Brooke, The Green Man returns from a 77-day break, having had a wind operation, and is upped to 7f today for this Class 4 Handicap. 5 runs on Good/Firm going have yielded 2 wins and a 2nd placed finish. This, combined with the likely strong pace, means this strong-travelling gelding, who finishes his races off well over 6f, will appreciate the step up to 7f today. There's optimism for a big run.

Not the force of old, but I can see the veteran John Kirkup running a good race today. The application of the first-time visor may spark some sort of revival in the old boy. He previously won with first-time blinkers and finished 3rd in first-time cheekpieces. The going may be a slight issue as most of his best form has been with cut, but I'm willing to take the chance. At 10 years old, he still has some wins in him. In October 23, he won off a mark of 56 at Redcar 5f on heavy going, 10 lbs lower today. Worth a punt in an open race.
