Winner at C&D back in December and now runs only 1 lb heavier with the same jockey back on board. Hasn't raced for a couple of months after looking in need of a rest. Has done well when fresh in the past. Every chance here in an average-looking field.

Has won at C&D in the past. This jockey seems to be able to get the best out of the horse, being on board for the win at Newcastle in March. Mark is still fair, and he's been competitive off this mark in the past. Seems a big price.

Winner at Newcastle at this distance at 1 lb lower than today. Mark was raised by 2 lb but was only a length off the winner at this course, having been squeezed for room in the final furlong. Jockey seems to get a tune out of the horse and is fairly treated by the handicapper.

Bit of a punt, but Knockout Blow has two C&D wins here in the last two races, as well as a strong placing record. Hasn't raced for two years though. Has returned from a break strongly in the past, so could get up into the places at 17/1.

Often races over 7 furlongs and hasn't raced over this trip for a number of years. But has a decent record at this course, placing here a number of times in 2024 at this mark and higher. Last outing was probably needed for fitness. Prior 2 races had been leading with a furlong to run, so shorter trip may suit. A risk but worth an each-way shot.

Last and only outing here wasn't anything to write home about, but 3 races around Christmas showed some promise with 2 seconds and a third. Mark was 6lb higher there than today. Has a 7lb claimer on board for the first time, who has a good record over the last 30 days. Every chance each way.

Looks a big price. Ran a creditable 3rd over this distance last year, less than 1.5 lengths to the leader, and followed up here with a second place. First two outings this year have been poor, but now running 6lb lower than the 2nd place. Trainer and jockey also have a decent record here.
