I was a little surprised to see Rock as such short odds to win here. I'd have backed him as an outsider but we can't and should not rule out van Gerwen so routinely. Therefore, I'll back this game to go long, as both are more than capable of producing strong patches of form to at least hold their throw.

Little surprised to see Price the outsider in this market. Dobey is rated quite a clear second favorite on the match odds, which is understandable. Price ultimately should be the one applying the pressure. I'd say he is more reliable on the 180 front. Dobey is short of the very top level and is therefore a little more inconsistent than, say, a Price.

You could argue Germany's player of the tournament has been their goalkeeper. She has been much busier than she and her teammates would have liked. Things step up here facing a super talented Spain side, that should also be much fresher having not required extra time so far.

I have a feeling the slow pace of Gilding will 'get on' van Duijvenbode quite a bit. Clearly he is much faster and certainly has the capability of blowing any opponent out of the water at his best, however he won't be able to get into the kind of rhythm he'd ideally want. This bet of course requires Gilding to do his bit and he has looked strong in the tournament so far. You can generally rely on him to produce a decent game. He is awkward to face.

Wade really excels at this format and has a massive edge over Nijman in terms of experience. Nijman is arguably the better player at his best, but Wade can so often get the job done when below his top. I don't think the same can be said of Nijman, who won't have the crowd on his side here.

Home advantage for Red Imps probably reduces that ever so slightly, but the reality is that man-for-man there should only be one winner here.
