I expect an easy 2-0 victory for Coco Gauff here because Gauff showed amazing form in Wuhan. She has four victories to nil. In her last match, Gauff defeated another top 10 player, Jasmine Paolini, with 2-0 sets again. Gauff has two victories in head-to-heads against Pegula, and the victories were with 2-0.

This is going to be one of the most intense matches again between the two skilled and talented Americans. However, Coco Gauff, with such an incredible performance against the Italian opponent, seems indeed convincing. However, I don't think Pegula would be defeated that easily, having entered the campaign with fine momentum.

Gauff is usually quite strong in the first sets of her matches. She won the first sets in seven of her last nine matches. So far in Wuhan, she won the first sets in all of her matches. Pegula lost the first sets in her last two matches against Aryna Sabalenka and Katerina Siniakova.

It's Pegula for me on the handicap, especially after taking out top of the rankings Sabalenka on a row break. She deserves to win this title on that.
