Xian Grand Prix 2025 Tips

An Englishman in China may not have the same ring to it as Sting's song, but Mark Selby has certainly enjoyed playing here over the years with seven ranking titles won in China alone. He is in the bottom half of the draw, which looks accessible for the Jester to progress, and he certainly has been getting better as the season unfolds. 7/1 for the win.

The Thunder from Down Under won the Saudi Arabia Masters in August, and he also won the World Grand Prix in March. I am backing the Australian to do the Grand Prix double in China this week, and I am going for the in-form Robbo to go all the way in Xian.

The defending champion beat Ronnie and Trump here last year, and I am tipping after winning the Shanghai Masters in China in August, he can have another big week here. Trump and world champion Xintong are in the bottom half, and my tip is Wilson reigns supreme in China again to go back to back in the Xi'an Grand Prix.

Mark Williams was a semi-finalist in the Wuhan Open in August, and a couple of weeks ago, he was a quarter-finalist in the British Open. The world number five is in a decent section of the draw, and I am tipping with Trump not quite at his brilliant best lately that the Welshman could reach the final.

The Hawk reached the quarter-finals last year in the Xian Grand Prix, and I am backing the left-hander to go better this week. The left-hander is in a decent quarter, and I am going for Hawkins to fly under the radar in China to reach the final.

Seeded number eight in his homeland Ranking Tournament, Ding Junhui is a legend of Chinese Snooker and has won seven ranking titles in China, nearly half of his 15 lifetime. He is in the top half of the draw, and I feel he can progress to the quarter-finals with ease, where he may have to play the defending champion Kyren Wilson. I feel it's worth taking the 18/1 each way for him to progress to the final.

Most people expect Jackson to win a title at some stage. It may be a little early for him yet, but he played well in the recent English Open, so he'll be hoping it clicks together here.
