Folk Pageant did well in debut earlier last year in Ayr. Folk Pageant has finished second in that race close to the winner of the race and I think Folk Pageant has good chances to win today.

Slowly away on debut and probably lost all chance thereafter. Did make some late headway when the penny began to drop, so I expect she will be a lot more savvy this afternoon.

Worth another try here at this level. Was a well-backed fourth when making debut earlier in the year for Archie Watson, but seemed to be getting the hang of things last time out. This track and trip look aptimal.

Half-sister to an all-weather winner, and the yard has had a good couple of weeks. This maiden stakes looks wide open, and I am tipping Luke Morris will go close on board Constant Star this afternoon.

Thunder Goddess is another interesting one for me from Andrew Balding's yard. They won this very maiden last year. She's by Lightning Spear out of Cape Victoria, making her a half-sister to useful middle-distance winners like Whimsy on the AW. The 7 lb claim from Chalmers helps off bottom weight also and to me her pedigree screams untapped potential here.

While this runner is still looking for experience, the mark drop will likely help him make some improvement. He was 4th last time and 8 lengths behind the leader in this class, but 11 lbs more than today's mark and is likely to show some much-deserved improvement.
