Poetry Man did not do much in his three runs over hurdles in 2023 and January 2024, where he finished 4th of 14 at Newcastle before the ex-pointer turned to chasing. He has improved over fences, however, coming off a 231-day break to win comfortably in a three-mile one-furlong handicap chase here at Catterick and almost followed up, unseating 4 out when in the lead here. Could be well handicapped back over hurdles.
