Omega European Masters Tips

Runner-up at the British Masters a week ago. His brother won the tournament in the past, and Nicolai wants to do the same and join his brother on the Ryder Cup team if he wins here.

Rasmus Hojgaard won this tournament 4 years ago. He has improved his game since and can add another title to his collection this week if he goes with his best focus. He should.

Many Scandinavian players won the Omega European Masters. Rasmus Neergaard Petersen has good skills for the course, and he is having a good year overall. He is among the favorites this week for the right reasons.

Matt Wallace is the defending champion, and in the last three years, he has won this tournament and finished second. He was third recently and 33rd last week. So, course form and recent form I like, and I think Matt Wallace can win a second Omega European Masters.

Paul Casey is one of the best players in the field. He is in good form on LIV, three top 5 finishes in the last six tournaments with a couple of runner-up finishes.

Jordan Smith has been playing well in recent months. He made the cut in the Open and the British Masters. He's also had a couple of top 6 finishes in his last 6 tournaments.

Doesn't travel over here often but has won on tour before. He was hitting form at the start of the playoffs after a poor season. This weaker field than what he's used to competing against can see him competitive.

A fine fourth in last week's British Masters. He comes here in fine fettle, and the only slight concern is the lack of course knowledge, as this is his first visit to the Swiss course.

Not the strongest field in the Czech Republic this week. Many good players are skipping. I like Välimäki at the given odds. A player that won twice on the DP World Tour. He was 8th last time he played at the Danish Golf Championship.

Lawrence won this event in 2022 and returns with a strong course history, averaging 67.83 across 12 rounds. He ranks top 10 in scrambling and birdie conversion on the DP World Tour this season, making him a proven threat in Crans.

Alex Fitzpatrick was 8th at the British Masters last week. He is going to the tournament where he did well in the past. 6th at the Omega European Masters 2024. I like him each way.

A maiden tour title came the way of Adrien Saddier in June when winning the Italian Open. He could be primed to go close again this week with his accurate driving, a much-needed requirement at Crans.

Rozner boasts a stroke average of 67.81 over 16 rounds at Crans-sur-Sierre, ranking among the top five in recent years. His GIR rate is consistently above 75%, and he’s gained strokes putting in four consecutive events leading into the tournament.

Van Rooyen has four top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season and a scoring average of 67.90 at Crans-sur-Sierre. His approach play has gained over 1.2 strokes per round recently, and he thrives in altitude conditions like those in Switzerland.

Manassero has recorded three top-10 finishes in his last five DP World Tour starts. His driving accuracy exceeds 70%, ideal for Crans-sur-Sierre’s narrow fairways. With a scoring average of 68.4 in altitude conditions, he’s well-positioned to contend for victory.

Jordan enters with a top-15 finish at The Belfry and ranks top 20 in strokes gained tee-to-green on the DP World Tour. His putting average has improved to 1.68 per hole, and Crans’ short layout suits his precision-based game perfectly.

Similar to Rasmus N-P, he has been threatening to win for a while. Consistent performer and didn't play last week, so he should be well-rested. Looks a big price at 66/1.

In his last two tournaments, the Australian was 12th and 24th. I do think he will have a very good Omega European Masters. Last year, he was fourth, and I think he can have a very good week in Switzerland, where he could win the European Masters.

The Swedish golfer has a good record at the Omega European Masters and in the last four years his worst finish is 16th. He was runner up two years ago and I do think Alexander Bjerknes can finish very high on the leaderboard.

Sebastian Soderberg won the Omega European Masters in 2020, and since then he has finished 14th, 12th, and 24th. I do think the Swedish golfer will play well again in this tournament, and I think Soderberg can win it.

In the last four years at the Omega European Masters the Italian golfer has finished seventh and eighth in this tournament. He has been top 15 three times since 2021 and I think Guido Migliozzi will be one to watch in Switzerland.

Two very good finishes for the Englishman before a bad week last week at Belfry. He's over 200/1 on the exchanges, which is a massive price to hit the frame.

A little off the pace last year despite making the initial cut. Tournament form previously has been okay with an 8th and 9th place finish in both previous efforts. Made the cut in the last two tournaments and has a nice, tempting each-way price here.
