2022 Singapore Grand Prix

Originally first held at Thomson Road back in 1966, the Singapore Grand Prix ran through to 1973 before coming to an end. The race was readded to the F1 calendar back in 2008 and has been ever-present since at Marina Bay.

Like Monaco, the Marina Bay circuit is a street track around the city and was the first-ever night race when introduced back in 2008.

This is one of the most demanding tracks on the F1 calendar as this is a street circuit, these surfaces are being used every day meaning the track is bumpy and with 23 corners to contend with, the drivers have to be on high alert.

How long is Singapore Grand Prix?

The race consists of 61 laps, each lap is 5.063 km (3.146 miles) which makes up a total distance of 308 km (191 miles).

When is the Singapore Grand Prix?

  • Friday 30th September - Practice 1 & 2
  • Saturday 1st October - Practice 3 & Qualifying
  • Sunday 2nd October - The Race

Where can I watch the Singapore Grand Prix?

This track could not be any better located to enjoy Singapore as a whole. In between practice, qualifying and the race itself you get to enjoy the spectacular city itself including the nightlife.

Try and get a ticket in the grandstand overlooking turn 1 so you can take in the start/finish of the race as well as the hard braking going into the first turn. If you cannot make it to Singapore then the Sky Sports F1 channel will screen the weekend's action.
