4:00 Kempton Tips

As usual, C&D, going, and class wins to my selection's name. His form is a bit all over the place, to be fair, and he is proving hard to win with. However, he is floating around the top of the list of class 5 horses to a point where the horse himself is actually a class 2 winner. This horse doesn't scream off the page like he's ready to win, but he definitely can if he wants to!

Only weakened inside final furlong Lto over a mile @ Lingfield, but is a 4 time C/D winner here so return to this 7f a big plus. Has form @ class 4 level so is well handicapped here in this class 5 off current mark of 75 and very good jockey/trainer combination makes current 9/1 solid Ew value here.

Battled on strongly last time to win over course and distance and although has to run under a penalty it was a strong performance. Needs another positive ride and Ed Greatrex is very good from the front.

I'm hoping a change of stable will put some life back into Troy Story after four average runs this season, though three were in class 4s. The angle here is Troy Story's first run in a handicap last November was here at Kempton in a class 4 off 76, where he was beaten only a neck. Today, back here for the first time, we are in a class 5 off 70, so hopefully, he'll go well.

Race 7 at Kempton today is a Handicap (Class 5) over 1,408 m Flat Race for 3 y.o. and upwards on the Polytrack. The suggested wager is for the straight win on the 5yo gelding City Cyclone from the Anthony William Carroll yard and will be ridden by William A. Carson. This son of Cityscape is a four-time winner. He is bang in form and loves the Polytrack where he has won all his races. He should be involved at the finish in this field.

Revolutionise won off 76 at Chelmsford last November. Following some poor runs, his mark has dropped to 73. The last time he ran at Kempton off 73 he came a respectable 3rd running on. The downside is that Marco Ghiani gets the best out of him and Marco is at Wolverhampton today. He is worth a small EW off 73.
