Zambia v Morocco Tips

Morocco is the top team in group E with a perfect record of five wins from five matches. They are in commanding form and on the verge of securing world cup qualification.

Morocco tops the group with six wins from six matches, allowing them to play with confidence and less pressure. Zambia, meanwhile, has recorded two wins and three losses in five qualifying games, scoring nine goals and conceding seven. They recently suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kenya in the ANC, with the only goal coming late in the match. Despite recent setbacks, Zambia had an impressive run last year, going unbeaten in eight official matches with seven wins and one draw. I’m backing the draw in this one.

Thanks to a 5-0 win over Niger, Morocco became the first African nation to qualify for next year's World Cup. Given that they have this group well and truly sewn up, they may well choose to rotate their squad and give their fringe players a chance. Zambia still have a slight chance of progressing as one of the best second-place teams. However, they will need to win this. They played pretty well in the reverse fixture despite conceding an early penalty. They eventually lost 2-1. At 6/1 and bigger, I do think they represent value.

This game might result in a clean sheet because of how solid Morocco's defense is. Also, the attacking potential of Zambia is not that threatening.

Given the situation that Morocco have already qualified and Zambia need to win to keep alive their chances of finishing second, I'm surprised BTTS 'Yes' isn't the favorite. So, even money or bigger has to be a value play here.

This game might result in Morocco winning both halves as they look solid in both attacking and defending. They have a good record against Zambia.
