There's quite a few wins alongside some of horses in this race so certainly a race to look forward too, But on the clock the times posted by the Nicky Henderson trained Old Park Star are quite exceptional. 3 wins from 3 hurdle races and its the manner of those wins that should see him come out on top. Already has a Cheltenham win under his belt and has won twice on good to soft the likely going for Tuesdays race. Nico again on board after 3 wins, lets hope fortunes change for the Henderson yard.

Looks like a straight shoot out between Kopek De Bordes and Lulamba. The Willie Mullins trained Kopek won 3 hurdle races including one at Cheltenham and has won his only chase, but that was back in November. Meanwhile Lulamba has won 3 times over hurdles AND 3 chases (including a Grade 1) and could have the edge experience wise plus the last win in February could count a lot to being slightly fitter. Will get an excellent assistance with Nico De Bonville on board.

Lossiemouth blotted her form book last time out at Leopardstown in a Grade 1 when beaten by Brighterdaysahead, probably the heavy going was a big contributor so i'm convinced she'll turn the tables on better going. However The New Lion will be a more serious treat, only an uncharacteristic fall in a Grade 1 at Newcastle spoils his sequence of six unbeaten wins which includes 2 course wins at Cheltenham. Although not short of speed he's won races at 2m 4f and 2m 5f respectively so stamina can suely help towards the Cheltenham finish and a win for trainer Dan Skelton.

At 3m 6f long this doesnt seem an easy race to back with confidence. The fact that most of them have never raced further than 3m makes the form just that bit harder to equate. The selection Grande Geste however has, and his win last time out at 3m 4f gives him a reasonable chance of competing further. The 7yr old trained by Joel Parkinson and Sue Smith has a reasonable weight to carry in this handicap with 11st 5lb so on same terms as current fav Backmersackme. Has run a total of 5 times over the larger fences, winning 2 and has a further 2 2nds. Could be a nice prospect so worth an each way at current price 14/1.
