I quite like 'Sweet Magic' here for Alistair Ralph. She ran a very credible second in this race last year and runs off 10st 10lb. Again, this looks like the trainer has specifically targeted this race, and at current odds of 7/1 it looks plenty of value.

On paper, this looks like a competitive field, with the majority of horses having nice pieces of form. Having said that, I find it hard to look past Josh The Boss, who is in fine form over chase fences. I think this horse has more scope and further improvement than the others, and the jockey claimer continues to take 7 lb off.

'El Cairos' is my selection here for the in-form Gordon Elliott. The favourite commands respect, but this trip might be just too short for it and may become more of a learning race. The fact that Paul Townend is not riding it is also a positive, as he's a class above Danny Mullins as a jockey.

The famous Michael Buckley silks on horse 'Noble Park' look to be a potentially smart horse. The horse is short enough and it's not a value bet, but I find it hard not to back this horse, especially with his form taking a major boost in recent days with 'Vanderpoel' winning emphatically. I expect a strong, commanding ride from Nico to make it three wins in a row.

A race in which the favourite is all the rage, and understandably so with strong connections, coming into this race 3 from 3. I expect that horse to take another step forward and be difficult to beat. I like to look for value, and Starmount, for me, is a horse that can also make a step forward. It's hard to know the ceiling of this horse, and I think he's being overlooked.

'Indeevar Bleu' is my selection here at current odds of 2/1. He comes into this race favourite, and rightly so, IMO. I definitely think he'll improve on his debut run, in which he still ran to a personal best. The step up in trip is a positive. Any further improvement would make this horse very difficult to beat.

I believe this will be a race of horses fighting for places, with 'Romeo Coolio' the wide-margin winner here. This horse was most impressive when last seen, and I expect him to continue his winning ways and cement himself as one of the firm favourites for Cheltenham 2026. Smooth-traveling horse with plenty of gears. Everything to like about this horse.

I believe this is a two-horse race. I have gone back and forth with my selection, but I have finally landed on Jango Baie. This horse is really on the up and has impressed me even more this season. I believe the step up to 3m is perfect for him, and I expect him to improve past the fantastic Gaelic Warrior, who I believe will take second place.

Small field yet intriguing race with the favorite 'Chuggy' seeking a four-timer for the Skeltons. That horse has gone up 26 lbs for three consecutive wins and, although the handicapper may have yet to catch him, he's probably closer than not. My selection here against the favorite is 'Juby Ball' for trainer Evan Williams. This horse ran well on seasonal debut, showed fight, and came back from being headed to win. I think the horse will take another step forward and land the spoils. Another positive is that the horse has already attracted solid market support.
