I backed El Cairos in the bumper last year, only for Maxwell, the jockey, to ruin his chances of winning. This horse has star quality. Jumping may be an issue, but with the hurdle stepped back a bit, that will help. Elliot is full of encouragement too.

I managed to get 2/1 last night, and I think the horse is by far the best here. Kopek won the Supreme here with ease, whereas Henderson's horse was only second in the Triumph. Cheltenham had a bit of rain last night around 9 p.m. Mullins' horses have started firing too.

I've struggled with this race over the years, so I've taken a different approach this year and gone with trends. The trainer targets this race, and the jockey has an excellent record. The drying ground will also suit.

My nap today is a Morrison-trained horse. Carrying 10-2 in this handicap is a huge positive on drying ground. Filanderer will also enjoy the step up in trip. The horse has won 5 out of his last 6 races. In the race he lost, he blundered badly.

As a Seagulls fan I'm following my heart. Poniros won at Cheltenham last year here at the Triumph, beating Lulumba. The race is extremely poor as Stateman, Sir Gino and Constitution Hill are all non-runners. The quick ground will help hugely. This is a 2-mile horse, whereas a lot of these want further.

I was at a Cheltenham preview night yesterday with Jonjo being on. The horse fell last time out, so it comes here fresh. Peaky Boy loves Cheltenham, having won 3 out of his 4 races. He was 3rd the other time, giving Gold Cup hope. Haati Colors weight

3 miles 5 furlongs around Cheltenham is a slog. This horse is at the bottom of the weights here, and I'm happy to ignore his last run. The horse prior to that race has finished in the top 2 in seven races. He was second at Cheltenham too. I think his handicap mark is very good. The ground won't be an issue.
