Best Free Tennis Selections

• Tournament Winner

The most popular pick listed under a tournament heading is the selection receiving the most picks to win the tournament outright. For example the US Open or Wimbledon, if it's a weekly tour event it may be listed as ATP Cincinnati or WTA Montreal for example. The Tournament Winner picks may also include 'Each Way' selections which usually covers 1st and 2nd place so basically the player must reach the final to guarantee at least a partial pay out. Clicking on the most popular pick will take you to the tournament tips page showing all the selections placed including the 'Each Way' picks.

• Win Match

This is a straight 'Money Line' bet so the most popular pick shown for each match is being selected to win the match. There is no other required criteria here, it's a straight win bet. Occasionally there are player retirements with the match failing to complete. In these instances sportsbooks usually pay out on the official result but it's best to check the wagering rules with your sportsbook beforehand.

• Set Score Betting

These picks are shown with the relevant selected Set Score for example 'Rafa Nadal To Win 3-0'. The Set Score odds offer a better pay out than the Money Line odds however the selected Set Score must be correct for a successful pay out.

• Total Games

This is a type of spread bet, sportsbooks traders will set the games line according to how they see the game panning out. For example the Total Games Line may be set at 20.5 Games, so this is the total number of games played in the match (both players total games won added together). The betting options are 'Over' or 'Under' the set line, so picks are headed accordingly as to whether tipsters predict a match to finish with less (Under) games than the Set Line or more (Over).

• 1st Set Winner

This is similar to the Money Line bet in that it is a straight win bet but it is on the First Set Winner only. This sometimes is a popular bet for tipsters who like the match underdog, a strong start catching the better ranked player cold can pay dividends even if they eventually fail to go on and win the match.

• Games Won

This again is a type of spread bet, the Games Won is a bet on a player with a +/- handicap start. Sportsbooks set the Games Won line for example 'Rafa Nadal -4.5' and bettors predict whether he will win the match by at least 5 games. If you think he will then the selection is Rafa Nadal -4.5, if you think the line is too high then the alternative is to back his opponent at +4.5 Games.
