Originally and for older readers it will always be the League Cup, however many will remember the Milk Cup, Rumbelows Cup, Worthington Cup, Coca-Cola, Carling Cup. Competed by all teams in the top 4 English divisions, the knockout matches start early in the season with the Final taking place normally at the end of February. The Semi-Final features two legs with teams playing home and away. Winners of the EFL Cup qualify for the Europa League for the following season.
