VOLPONE JELOIS

He was given a poor ride, LTO, which was on this course, with today's rider on board. His previous races with today's jockey have been pretty good, so I think that that run can be discounted. He is reasonably handicapped and his jockey still has her 5lb claim. He has run well, here, on the firm ground. Over 50% of his races have ended in the frame. I have no concerns with the draw, over this distance.

Xinbama

Irish handler David Dunne's inmate Xinbama who was a recent course second earlier this month where he was beaten 1 1/4 lengths by Street Jester has a strong chance of winning despite being 2 lb higher today. He has won eight races from 6 furlongs to 1 mile 4 furlongs on good to firm and good ground and on the all-weather. But his last win was over three years ago. Franny Norton has the ride.

CROQUEMBOUCHE

CROQUEMBOUCHE loves it here at Bath with four wins from seven races here including winning in the middle of a bad streak with three of those wins on Firm going and similar distance to today. Up a lb from his last win here which was in June so likes distance and going.

Good luck all :hope:

croquembouche

A 9yr old gelding, ex Michael Stoute now in training with Ed de Giles. A winner of 10 races from 56 outings on turf with 13 minor placings. Generally been running in a higher Class than most of the field. Has won in Class 3 and has a place in Class 2. Does his best work on good or good to firm. Arguably Bath seems to be his favourite course having won four time here. Negatives, apart from his Bath win in June, has run a few stinkers to say the least and as he's got top weight very surprised trainer couldn't find a decent apprentice to take some weight off.

general brook
a course winner that is having a good season, five wins in eleven attempts, three of them on fast ground, and a thirty three points return on investment to level stakes. jockey david probert has a twenty per cent win rate in the past couple of wees and he takes the ride for the first time. the horse is unproven at the trip but that is reflected in the odds

HOPE IS HIGH
The horse has won at the course as well as over the distance and acts on all going. It won a Class 2 (same level as today) at Yarmouth last year off a mark of 72, winning by 0.75 lengths. Its racing off 69 today with jockey Nicola Currie taking off another 3 pounds with her claim.

Innoko

Has not won since July 2017 but has yet to finish out of the top 4 since May this year. In a run of runner up finishes. Close 2nd here last year in this race. Jockey Watson claiming 3lbs in the weights a plus. Distance and conditions are fine.

HOPE IS HIGH

Has won over the course
Has also won over the distance
Not very keen on the trainer but has had a winner in the last fortnight
Jockey takes a useful three pounds off
Goes on any ground
Can only be hopeful for some points in a very competitive race :D

Damut Im Out

The irish raider in the field should go close, the Cromwell stable have been among the winners the past couple of weeks and this might give them another. He was third at Sedgefield last time out not beat far but is stepped up in trip here and that is very likely to help a lot given this on has been a previous point winner. He runs off the same mark of 100 here but now has a 5 pound claimer on board.
