Like Galvin and Secret Reprieve, especially the latter. Think this year would have come too soon for him anyway, as a 7y/o with only 6 chase starts. Next year he should be a great box-ticker from a stats point of view, and can be campaigned to get him in on a nice low mark with his current OR of 142 needing to find probably only 2-3lbs to guarantee a run.

My 2 early ew 5 places picks are…

Any Second Now 22-1 – I think he may have won with a clear round, so gone in again.
Galvin 35-1 – done me a good turn at Cheltenham at a decent price, so wont desert him at this point. Will have had the 10+ chase starts by race time as well.

If you not read it, thought this was interesting, jockey describing the ride on Burrows Saint.

Secret Reprieve has at least been given a chance to win another race. Was rated 144 for the National, which is a really tricky mark going forward, but has had his mark downgraded to 142 because the handicapper realises that our form is basically s***. That at least gives him an opportunity to run well and possibly win again before next year’s weights. Whatever price he is though just divide it by four or five depending on your bookmaker and that’s the best you can possibly hope for.

I'd like to see him go in the Ladbrokes at Newbury and tried over some better ground next season.

Given the results of recent Nationals and Cheltenham Festivals I will be dismissing anything that isn’t trained in Ireland.

As already suggested Run Wild Fred must be on anyone’s shortlist at this stage.

Still can’t find Off You Go in any markets. It’s like the bookmakers don’t read the form!
