I am off to Sedgfield today in the 3.40. Flemerina EW

This horse ran ok last time out over what looks like an inadequate two miles weakening after the last. She was back from her break in that race and i hope she will strip fitter today. She has won at this course before. Miss spent I am ruling out , it was five horse race that she ran third in last tim out and sometimes that type of form doesn't hold up. The fvaourite looks really well in and will be difficult to beat , so EW his the bet.

Another very quiet day on this thread, which is a bit surprising in light of there being some good jumping action especially at Sedgefield, plus a couple of Listed races and a class 2 handicap at Lingfield.

It is the latter race at Lingfield (1.50) that appears particularly interesting, as the favourite Gulliver is not straight forward and looks too short in the market.

Having deployed the VALUE CALCULATOR to assess this race, the 2 that stand out at current best odds are EASY TIGER @ 7/1 and MR BOSSY BOOTS @ 15/2, so may be worth a couple of small stakes in singles, against the favourite.

Finally, I would like to wish everyone all the best with their selections and hopefully we can find some good winners on this thread today.

Only one stands out for me today and that is Washed Ashore, 3:10 Sedgefield. Has had 5 outings over fences and has shown improved form to finish 2nd-1st-2nd in his last 3 outings.
LTO he finished between 2 horses that went on to win their next races and previous to that run he won with ease over 3m at Market Rasen.
He if he stays the 3m 5f today he must surely be thereabouts at the finish and at 8/1 (Boylesports) has got to be worth a decent EW bet.

To my impression is Baghad whos never ran over this trip in the 2nd in Chelmsford possibly a much bigger better physical specimen than the most of these and i wouldnt be surprised if this is a good winner today.

Junoesque in the 6.25 looks a big price in this class going by her 5l maiden 4th over CD in September where the three in front are rated 75+ and the 2nd won next time out

The over priced Samphire Coast at 9/1 in the 1825 looks real value a course and distance winner back in april off 58 beating Hannington who went close last month off 60 Samphire run out a very easy winner back in southwell off 55 beating Little Choosey who won this race last year Samphire gets the second time hood on tonight this won when fitted with second time visor a good run last time out looks a good bit of value back up in trip

7.25 Chelmsford Gentlemen 33/1.
Not the most reliable type by any means and last win came in June 2016 at this course under this talented rider.
Has won 4/11 at this course and placed a further once.5 wins from 20 and placed twice under this jockey. All course wins have been with Josephine Gordon up top. 2 wins and 2 places from 6 in cl4 ( has won cl3 ) .Runs off of mark of 87 tonight.
Everything needs to fall in to place for him and he has to be in the mood - but at the price may be worth a small investment.

A little ew on Menelik in the 7.25.

Mark looks high but did well earlier this year on the aw, including here, and this class of race looks right for him at present. Should be much sharper, 41 days after his run at Dundalk, where he was returning from a 10 week break.

Worth a little on 100/1 shot Vroom in the 7.55 under the premise that no horse should be 100/1 in a handicap. If this race was being run at Southwell he'd likely be in single figures for this and whilst that may indeed be his favoured track/surface he's run only once here so it's a little unfair to dismiss his chances based on that. Back down in class will also help.

First time eyeshields are perhaps a sign that the horse was affected by the kickback on his last visit here. Gay Kellaway horses are always capable of a shock too.
