2.55M - Salvino
Was a keeping on one pace in a class 4 over 2m 4f last time out finishing
2nd of 8 under a hefty 12st ating 120. Rating goes up to 121 but the step
up to class 2 means only 10st 7lb with B.Lynn returning to the saddle.
Step back up in trip will suit on ground he likes. Has had a 41 day break.

Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey represents the Fergal O'Brien stable. He has a record of 6 wins, 2 of them in chase races and 4 in hurdle races. He has been successful this season, winning in good style the last 2 races at Uttoxeter and Ludlow. The yard has had good stats lately. Jockey Jack Hogan claims 5 lbs

This W Greatrex trained 6-y-o gelding is the winner of two of his five races over hurdles over two miles four furlongs and three miles on good to soft and good ground but did slightly disappoint in his latest start 35 days ago over three miles on soft ground at Cheltenham when 9 ½ lengths in third behind the C E Longsdon trained Hector Javilex so with James Bowen in the saddle he can bounce back today with conditions to suit

2.55 Musselburgh The Bosses Oscar
Picking The Bosses Oscar in this race as it has won 3 times from 14 runs out over hurdles as well as placing in 6 of them.It has been competitive at this distance before as well as it has placed 6 times from 9 runs out at it.Jockey for this race is Corey McGivern and the jockey is taking off 7 lbs in this race.It is trained by a very good trainer in G.Elliott he has not had that many previous runners at this course but he has an impressive win record as he has had 14 winners from 42 starters with 8 of them placing.

2.55 Musselburgh
From NW Alexander's yard, Wakool has previously won over the course and distance. On its last outing, the horse finished second in a Class 2 over 3 miles of heavy going at Ayr. It was beaten by 6 lengths off a mark of 140.It's racing off the same 140 mark today

2.55 Musselburgh

I am agreeing with another member here with selection, as I think this horse has the right weight and ground suitable.

Sandy Thomson a local trainer, travelling not far that can effect horses from standing in their boxes for a duration of time,

Racing off 126 four pounds above his last winning outing here.

Ryan Mania more than likely sit off the pace and make his play with coming from off the pace like last time.

255 mussleborough

The bosses Oscar.

Comes over from Ireland and good horse on his day with a lor better form than a lot of these. Won well in Ireland staying on strongly over half a mile shorter so this trip should suit him plus this is a quicker track. Twelve pounds below his last run in the UK and could go well at bigger price here today .

Trainer N W Alexander ...... ....... ..... ...... ..... .. .> Jockey Conor O'Farrell

A N W Alexander trained 7 year old who has had 18 races over the hurdles winning 6 times and has finished in the frame 9 times. His last win was in Oct in a class 3 handicap hurdle over 3m 1/2f on good to soft going at Ayr ridden by today's jockey Conor O'Farrell when beating the fav by 1 3/4 lengths. He is in a class 2 handicap hurdle over 3 miles on good going . This gelding finished 2nd of 4 runners last time out at Ayr in a class 2 handicap over 3m 1/2f on heavy going beaten by the fav 6 lengths. He is a c/d winner and finished 2nd in this race last year, has a decent e/w shout in this race today.

Bardenstown Lad

This Course and Distance winners was 3rd in the Bartlett last year finishing ahead of some decent types in the process. Hasn't taken to chasing so back to plane B, off an effective mark of 136 today which would give him every chance in a race that doesn't have too many "lurkers". Good ground is ideal, should go close.

Musselburgh 14:55

Gordon Elliott's inmate Jaycean looks fairly well treated after falling four out in Pertemps qualifier at Leopardstown in a hurdle race won by Maxxum in December last year on his latest outing. Today we should put that incedent behind him as he remains still unexposed. A winner of a hurdle race at 2 miles 4 furlongs on yielding ground. Jordan Gainford is in the saddle.
