MUSSELBURGH 2.55 ABUFFALOSOLDIER
This W Greatrex trained 6-y-o gelding is the winner of two of his five races over hurdles over two miles four furlongs and three miles on good to soft and good ground but did slightly disappoint in his latest start 35 days ago over three miles on soft ground at Cheltenham when 9 ½ lengths in third behind the C E Longsdon trained Hector Javilex so with James Bowen in the saddle he can bounce back today with conditions to suit

I am agreeing with another member here with selection, as I think this horse has the right weight and ground suitable.
Sandy Thomson a local trainer, travelling not far that can effect horses from standing in their boxes for a duration of time,
Racing off 126 four pounds above his last winning outing here.
Ryan Mania more than likely sit off the pace and make his play with coming from off the pace like last time.

Comes over from Ireland and good horse on his day with a lor better form than a lot of these. Won well in Ireland staying on strongly over half a mile shorter so this trip should suit him plus this is a quicker track. Twelve pounds below his last run in the UK and could go well at bigger price here today .

This Course and Distance winners was 3rd in the Bartlett last year finishing ahead of some decent types in the process. Hasn't taken to chasing so back to plane B, off an effective mark of 136 today which would give him every chance in a race that doesn't have too many "lurkers". Good ground is ideal, should go close.

Gordon Elliott's inmate Jaycean looks fairly well treated after falling four out in Pertemps qualifier at Leopardstown in a hurdle race won by Maxxum in December last year on his latest outing. Today we should put that incedent behind him as he remains still unexposed. A winner of a hurdle race at 2 miles 4 furlongs on yielding ground. Jordan Gainford is in the saddle.
