Victory Angel...7yo Gelding

In a race that is breaking up badly with N/Rs popping up by the minute, it could present the race to Victory Angel who finished last in his last outing at Pontefract 5F but was reportedly not right on the day and was eased down to finish in his own time.

He could well show a different side here, and looks worth taking the chance with, even from the highest draw at this track with so few runners jockeying for position will be that much easier. Ridden today by Sam James who has had a couple of wins from seven outings onboard Victory Angel for trainer Harvey Bastiman and could well get involved again here.

JOJO RABBIT

Archie Watsons gelding is a consistent sort. In his 9 runs under rules he has finished in the first 4 places 7 times. 2 runs this season have seen him finish runner-up both times. Gets stronger handling today and should run better for it. Hollie Doyle has ridden him before and won on him. Todays going should pose no problems as he has raced on most types of going and raced well. The winner of his last race has gone in again since to frank that form.

Replacement selection due to non runner.
Beverley 3.10
POLITICS
This gelding is entered in Saturday's Ayr Gold Cup and the consolation races. Today will tell connections a lot about making the trip north.
Politics has won on a testing track (Sandown).
That was on fast ground but his best performance came in the Listed Roses Stakes at York and that was on today's forecast soft going. He started 5-1 for that event and wasn't entirely disgraced.
Now with former jockey Phillip Makin who had a recent winner ridden by today's jockey, Rowan Scott.
The dam won a Curragh 5 furlongs Listed event on heavy ground.
Today's conditions should be no problem for Politics who can't be written off before he has even made his three year old debut.

East Street Revue

Tim Easterby's inmate East Street Revue on his latest outing in a lower grade over this course and distance last month finished 2 1/4 lengths behind Ventura Flame when sixth of thirteen. Has won nine races from 5f to 6f on the ground varying from good to firm to soft two of these were at Pontefract and Haydock this season. Duran Fentiman has the reins.

Pumpdaball, as you have sent a note you can be excused the next race but I expect you back for the following race

TERUNTUM STAR

Teruntum Star was a very good horse at one time with nine wins and four places to his name including in Class 2 races. Last of his wins was here at Beverley back in May and is a pound lighter today. Rarely does well first time out after a break so last race could be ignored. Has the plum draw in stall 1 and this his usual distance and goes well on Soft going.

Good luck all :hope:

Politics

I hope I made it in time. Politics only competed in three races. He has 1 win and 1 second place on his record. There are already many non-runners in this race and the chances of all the remaining competitors are quite good. Jockey Rowan Scott has had a good statistical record over the last 2 weeks. A long absence from racing should not have spoiled this horse :hope:

Congratulations and well done to Thefinalbroadcast on winning the first race of the month after a mighty tussle with Delboy980. Thefinalbroadcast scored on 11 of the 15 days whereas Delboy980 scored on 10 days, that one day made all the difference. A mention too for Cogsy63 and Underdogslover who battled up the league after a horrendous start and Underdogslover missed three days with internet problems and thank you to Royalscot for selecting 5 of the races and he finished 3rd

🥇Thefinalbroadcast £10
🥈Delboy980 £5

Thank you all for taking the time to enter and good luck in the next race :win:
