Tim EAsterby has almost as big a proportion of the runners in this field as his family owns the acres of Yorkshire, but of his 5 (Michael limits himself to only 1 entry in this) it's EAST STREET REVUE that catches my eye.

Twice a winner over Course and Distance he was a good second in a simlar event at Ripon last time out. he won this race last year at 12/1 off a 4 pound hgher mark and with the very talented Duran Fentiman aboard he can erpeat the dose today.
ground will not impede and the son of PPastoral Pursuits handles these big field handicaps as well as anything else in the market.

4.25 GOLD FILIGREE

Has been running well last 3 starts on AW at this grade and higher
Yard and jockey in form
Unexposed on turf altho mark has gone up due to AW success
Could have improved enough to make an impact at big odds

4.25Y - Midnight Malibu
Distance winner who ran in a higher class 2 last time out here at York finishing 8th of 19
after tracking the leaders then shaken up 2f out but never got to the leaders on good to
firm under 8st 11lb. Drops to a class 3 today so a couple of extra lbs with 9st 3lb and new
jockey on board. Not so fast ground will help and a 51 day break will have freshened her up.

EAST STREET REVUE

He is a C & D winner. He ran a good 2nd place, over the 5f, LTO. Today's jockey has been riding him, regularly, for the last three years and has been in the saddle for all bar one of his wins. He is nicely weighted and handicapped. He has a nice draw in the 4 stall in this size field. He did win this race last year, off a higher mark, so should be in with a chance of a repeat.

16.25 York
ISLAND OF LIFE
From the William Haggas yard, the horse has previously won over the distance and hasn't been out of the first four home in its 9 career runs. It's stepping up from Class 4 to Class 3 but has had a wind operation since its last outing and that should provide some extra oomph. Its last run was over 5f of good going at Newbury where it was only beaten into second place by a short head off a mark of 81. It's on 83 today but has the benefit of a very decent jockey in the shape of Andrea Atzeni on board for the first time. It's one of only two Haggas runners at York today.

york 4.25

requinto dawn

A 3yr old gelding trained by Richard Fahey. Won twice from 15 starts on turf with 5 minor placings. The 2 wins came over 5f in Class 4 and one of those was on good to soft. Trainer must think highly of him as he's been tried in every class up to class 1. Form has tailed off some what since last win but at 3 years there's still time to progress. Very noticeable that in his career of 19 races stable jockey Paul Hanagan has only ridden him 3 times which produced a win and two 2nds and he's on board today.

duke of firenze
the last four renewals went to runners drawn in stall six or lower and if the horses from similar stalls can break sharply and set a strong pace it may suit a fast finishing closer. duke of firenze's last two wins both came at york over five furlongs, held up early before making late headway. its last success was seventeen months ago and a falling handicap mark, a stone below its previous winning mark, could make it more competitive on suitable ground

16:25 York

Gold Filigree

Richard Hughes' inmate Gold Filigree has been pretty consistent this season and on her latest outing at Chelmsford City over 5 furlongs last month she was a beaten favourite finishing 2 1/4 lengths behind Marnie James when fourth of nine. She remains unexposed on turf but has a chance here today and we can't rule her out despite her handicap mark going up since her last run due to an AW success. She has won four times from 5 furlongs to 6 furlongs on good ground and on the all-weather having won three times this season. Shane Kelly has the ride.

4:25 York
Iconic Knight
Iconic Knight was showing some improvement when he went very close but was beaten a head by Lady Dancealot on his latest outing.
He has won at Windsor last month and Newbury this season.
Today it will be no surprise if he goes close again.
Ed Walker has engaged Antonio Fresu for the job.

Finding Winners has shot into the lead after picking up Tuesday's and Thursday's winners including yesterdays 120 points, nice to see the big points being won. Bowhillbear and Vivian have also leapt up the chart after a very lean first half of the race after both picking up the 90 points on Wednesday and decent points on Tuesday, perseverance has paid off. Time to start sweating with only 4 days left. :win:

Thank you to some of the other members for selecting races for me :win:

Bossipop
Picking Bossipop in this class 3 race as it has ran 12 times at this class level winning just the once but it has managed to place in 5 of them so it has placed a few times at this level. It has also placed in a class 2 back in September off a rating of 80 and it has a rating of 81 for this race but the jockey is taking off 3 lbs in this race. That race was on good/good to firm in places and the going for this race is good so it should be ok with the going. It's trained by T.Easterby for won this race last year with East Street Revue.

Definition of panic - typing up your horse at the last few minutes and then they withdraw the horse so instead of Billy Dylan I am opting for JUST GLAMOROUS as he is taking a big drop in class today. Has been racing in Class 2 races. Was 6th in a Listed race last time out at the beginning of the month so maybe coming into form and has decent form here at York having won once and placed twice from 3 attempts. Gone down a lot in his handicap and has places when in the 100's so with today's weigh he should be flying along.

Good luck all :hope:
