Postby TeddyT » Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:15 pm

This Saturday sees the Merseyside and Manchester derbies and OLBG are offering a £20 cash prize for the most informative tip comment added by a member on either of the two matches:

EVERTON v LIVERPOOL - k.o. 12.30pm
MAN CITY v MAN UTD - k.o. 5.30pm

The Comments Team will consider tips with comment analysis placed on all the available match markets and to qualify the tip/s must be added in the monthly competition in the usual way using the 'Make a Tip' menu -

https://www.olbg.com/members/maketip.php?id=16

We will be looking for detailed analysis that will highlight some or all of the following:

- Recent form of both teams
- Important team news, notable absentees, injuries, suspensions etc..
- Team set up, likely styles and key areas/players.
- Recent and relevant derby head to heads.
- Plus any relevant info that you feel gives your tip that edge to influence followers placing a bet.

The comments team will judge ALL the tip comments as it's the excellent content analysis we are judging not just winning tips and will announce the £20 cash prize winner on this thread and the cash will be paid directly into the winners OLBG account.

The high profile live TV games are of high interest and OLBG will see many new users accessing the app and website looking for guidance and advice from our Football tipsters and with the two big derby clashes this weekend let's show them the quality we have and bag yourself a cool £20 in the process !

We look forward to judging your excellent analysis for OLBG followers again this week.

Enjoy the matches and best of luck with your football tipping this month.

Thank you to everyone who put up comments over the two derby games this weekend, we had a 0-0 Merseyside derby followed by a United comeback in the 3-2 over City to deny them (for now) the league title!

Plenty of good comments to consider from the likes of Dundee FC, Titans Choice, The Snail, Eezzee, Djm3955 and Honeybadger but this week we have decided to go with CapnBob who excellently covered both games.

Once again thank you to everyone who took time to enter a comment this past weekend and watch out for the £20 comment prize next weekend which will be on the Grand National!
CapnBob (Merseyside Derby – Everton or Draw [Double Chance])
“Browsing the teams for the draw at Anfield, Everton perhaps look stronger now. They have lost Sigurdsson but Walcott has been added & Tosun ought to be an upgrade on Niasse. Coleman has also returned.

Everton have struggled to achieve results against the top 7 home & away, they are yet to win this season, all 5 home defeats against sides above them.
Everton LTO at home to Man City but are yet to lose back to back at Goodison under Big Sam.

Liverpool have lost only 4 games, three against elite teams and a surprise loss at Swansea. They face a team who are 7th in the home rankings.
After the emotional intensity of the first leg, Klopp may rotate the team, the likes of Henderson (banned for 2nd leg) should start as should Wijnaldum but the attacking troika may see changes with Salah possibly rested.

Idrissa Gueye should add more competitiveness to midfield after missing the City game.

A point might be acceptable under the circumstances for the Reds with a 10pt lead over Chelsea (one game in hand), this & the one at Stamford Bridge are arguably the two most challenging in their run-in.”
CapnBob (Manchester Derby – Man Utd [FT])
“Browing flashscore, Liverpool made 5 changes to the UCL line-up, especially up front where Ings & Solanke started. Surely, this will dictate how Guardiola picks his team for the late evening k.o.

City would like nothing more than to win the title against their arch rivals but Guardiola may opt to rest players. Much depends on if De Bruyne starts, as City are not the quite same without him. He has only missed 4 games, he was on the bench in the loss at home to Basel & did not appear in the loss in Donetsk.

Aguero might make a cameo but again Guardiola might keep him fresh for Tuesday.

The match is ideal for Mourinho. He is expected to park the bus but this game offers a free hit. United, under Mourinho, are yet to win at an elite team this season (3L to nil) and didn't win at a team above them last season.

United arrive having not played midweek and with the motivation of inflicting another defeat on their rivals as well as strengthening their grip on 2nd. Draw No Bet (3.4) offers value in case City are the ones who play for the draw this time round.”
