Have to admit William Hill's Olympic betting has been abysmal - rare to be top price and No Each Way betting . You can understand it when an event maybe somewhat uncompetitive but there are many catagories where all the medals are up for grabs. Take the Mens 10000m - Mo Farah is a worthy favourite but is a bit ' artificially short ' in the betting due to the hopes and expectations of many of the British people - many bookmakers realise that the medals are up for grabs and are offering 1/5 odds a place 1-2-3 yet a company like HIll's are WIN ONLY ...... pretty poor on the customer realations here and to make matters even worse their odds are not that competitive.......... talking of the 10k - my only bet of the Olympics to date is in this Tariku Bekele EW 1-2-3 @14/1 ( Ladbrokes ) ..... Hill's incidently are showing 7/1 on Oddschecker WIN ONLY so how could they expect to take any business at all :? :?

Rarely has sport moved me in the manner it has done tonight. Like him or not Lord Coe has produced. Whoever thought of the inspire a generation motto and legacy needs to inform me of the lottery numbers next week because today alone will make kids around the country sit in a boat, pull on some spikes or sit on a saddle all around the country.

On of his son's Dan Skelton is Paul Nicholls assistant trainer and the other Harry was the youngest jockey to win the Irish Grand National when he rode Niche Market to victory in 2009.

I've been watching quite a bit of the women's handball.

From what i've seen so far I think Brazil are huge value at 2/1 in their quarter final against Norway today.

Norway were the tournament favourites but have so far not been that impressive with only 2 wins out of their 5 group games. Brazil won 4 out of 5 and looked a very good side.

Could be good for a trade in play (10am start).

188Bet (who i'm not with!) are giving 1.98 on the 1.5 handicap to Brazil. Looks excellent value to me especially compared to the other prices available

Great half by the Brazilians.

13-9 up, looking the part and now down to 1.4 to win! :win:

I've had a small bet on Daniell Fogg to come in the top 3 of the mens 10km Marathon swim. For the simple reason he was chosen ahead of Beijing silver medallist David Davies. Aswell it being in home water. His price is huge! 14s for the top 3 on Betfair

I've just been watching the women's beach volleyball and there has already been a serious wrist injury.

....but I should be OK by tomorrow.

my friend mentioned to me tonight that a couple of athletes were partying a bit hard in olympic village and had dropped their medals and they shattered. this didnt sound plausible to me. having googled i found a story about a brazilian who dropped his in the shower but thats closest i can find. did anyone else hear this story or have a link to it?
