Grand National Tricast - Your 1-2-3 Selections

Postby nors » Tue Apr 05, 2016 1:53 pm

We know it is very unlikely and just for fun can you name the 1-2-3 in the Grand National.

The Grand National Form feature should narrow down the possibles.

Anything you note please post on the Grand National Race Thread on the forum.

If anyone does get the 1-2-3 i think we can run to a prize, although if you get it up then our prize will pale into insignificance!

1. Silvianico Conti
2. O'Faolins Boy
3. Saint Are

The class horse and to a degree forgotten horse is Silvianico Conti. This is a handicap and the last time this horse ran in an handicap was never. Has good Aintree form and Nicholls is no fool, the distance may be the issue but the horse has never fallen which should stand him in good stead over the these days easier National fences.

I'm almost certainly not backing Many Clouds but if he gets round I can't see what's going to beat him unless its good ground and your likes of Holywell and Saint Are come into play. Conti's the best horse in the race but I can't see him seeing the race out in all honesty I hope I'm wrong.

1. Many Clouds
2. Morning Assembly
3. Bishops Road (if he gets in) - Kerry Lee's having a cracking season.

If Bishops Road doesn't get in then Buywise to run through beaten horses as per usual

1. Goonyella
2. Boston Bob
3. Holywell

Fancied Goonyella for a while now and think that (like a lot of horses to be fair) his prep has been specifically designed with this race but more importantly this year in mind. Like the profile of BB and Ruby selecting it speaks volumes. We know Willie wants the trainers championship so will be sending them primed to aintree and Holywell probably ran the best prep race of anyone bar Many Clouds under top weight at Cheltenham in the Ultima. As much as I'd love to see Many X Clouds win again I can't see him being able to lump 11st10 around there with so many other decent animals involved this year.
