Grand National winning jockey Liam Treadwell could sadly miss the Aintree big one after unfortunately being knocked unconscious at Bangor after a fall on Thursday.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.

I would like to see figures on Willie Mullins horses on chases 3m +. His hurdlers are classy horses but I would back against almost everything of his chasing over 3m+. He tends to gave well backed horses but I don\'t think they win very often
In the last 14 days, he has had 10 runners in Chases over 3 miles or further and no winners, although all of those were at Cheltenham
They won the Bobbyjo and Lexus earlier in the season.

They have a few at present which are difficult to place - On His Own, Sir Des Champs etc - but with owners who can afford to have their horses running in all the big races.

Rain forecast on most days this week in the area with heavy rain today and also on Monday. Can see my preferred choice Goonyella's odds shortening as the week goes on so going to snap up the remaining 20/1 in places.

Is Just A Par running ? He'll be off his feet after the first mile. I thought they'd wait for Sandown.

Anyone got any views/advice on the romford pele in the national if it runs? Have been disappointed with it lately but think it is still a strong contender on previous runs. Do feel 40/1 is a bit short as well.

Paul Nicholls confirmed on his site that he intends to run all six (Silvi Conti, Wonderful Charm, Unioniste, Just a par, Rocky Creek and Black Thunder) with the only jockey booking I presumed being Black Thunder the rest confirmed jockeys too

Updated the jockey situation Racing Post have Geraghty and Thornton as confirmed on their horses now, Ruby's down to ride Boston Bob, Tom O'Brien on Onenightinvienna for Hobbs, Gavin Sheehan not Harry Cobden will ride Black Thunder for Paul Nicholls and Paul Maloney is showing on Alvarado not Buywise but by my reckoning and I guess it'll be cleared up in due course he'd still need a few to come out to get in, likewise Jamie Moore on Bishops Road and Brian Hughes on Pineau de Re

At first look of the runners Holywell 16/1 stood out and after running a few trends and personal preferences he and 9 others survive.
O\'Flanigans Boy 40/1
Gilgamba 66/1
On His Own 50/1
Holywell 16/1
Boston Bob 33/1
Double Ross 66/1
Goonyella 20/1
Le Reve 40/1
Gallant Oscar 33/1
Rule the World 50/1
I\'ve now backed Holywell and will look deeper to find 2 others a big odds.

I have just updated my trends based blog (link below) at the 5 Day stage, including revised scores for the entries that have run since the previous update.

I still have plenty of qualifiers based on the trends, but I am confident that these can be pruned down to a reasonable number of selections when taking into account the ground conditions on the day of the race and 3 additional filters which I have identified over the last week.

Will any of the reserves get in?

Postby andystaff » Tue Apr 05, 2016 1:50 pm

41 Bishops Road
42 Knock House
43 Perfect Candidate
44 Maggio

Horses that still have entries for other Aintree races are Gilgamboa, Sir Des Champs, Ballycasey & The Romford Pele according to the Racing Post.

So unless Injury or ground !

Can anyone remember if any got in after the 5 day decs last year?
