ESC 2017

Postby Systemsman » Thu May 19, 2016 9:29 am

I know its early but i am moving on to 2017.

Here is my ESC short list system that with any luck (as in 2016 and 2015, both posted up) will contain the winner.

Past results for last four years:

2016
1. Ukraine (would need something extra special to win again in 2017)
2. Australia
3. Russia
4. Bulgaria

2015
1. Sweden (won 2012, 3rd 2013, won 2015)
2. Russia
3. Italy
4. Belgium

2014
1. Austria
2. The Netherlands
3. Sweden (1st in 2012)
4. Armenia

2013
1. Denmark (4th in 2010)
2. Azerbaijan
3. Ukraine
4. Norway

So in our short list so far we have:
Ukraine
Australia
Russia
Bulgaria
Sweden
Italy
Belgium
Austria
The Netherlands
Armenia
Denmark
Azerbaijan
Norway

13 but a good starting point (if i was to exclude anything at this stage, always a danger, it would be Ukraine, double wins are rare [but not impossible] but they would need a extra special song to win again).

EAST EUROPE
Ukraine
Russia
Bulgaria
Armenia
Azerbaijan

WEST EUROPE/OTHER
Australia
Sweden
Italy
Belgium
Austria
The Netherlands
Denmark
Norway

5 from East Europe, 8 from West Europe.

Unfortunately I have developed no 'system' so I guess I will just have to watch every national final once again next year and reconsider everything I believe to be correct during rehearsals where I will spend over eight hours a day viewing. Oh well......

I actually really liked Macedonia's song and singer, even though most people say she didn't perform that well I kind of liked it. I also believe that countries in the Eurovision should sing songs in their native languages, thus representing their countries, which is the purpose of Eurovision!
