BA & MS Plate Handicap Chase Result:

1st - THE STORYTELLER 5/1f (SP)
2nd - Splash Of Ginge 25/1
3rd - Kings Odyssey 14/1
4th - Ballyalton 16/1

On many punters radar all week and 17 of the 205 tip comments were on the fav on 'Davy Russell and Gordon Elliott day' -

jammat001 -

"This G Elliott trained gelding won on his chase debut over two miles five furlongs on soft ground at Fairyhouse beating his more fancied stablemate Sutton Manor by 4 3/4 lengths so after not being disgraced in his next two starts in a Grade 1 and Grade 3 he returns to handicap company with a big chance today with D N Russell in the plate."

The Mares Novice Hurdle up next, can Davy Russell get the four timer on High School Days and upset the odds on fav ?

Mares Novice Hurdle Result:

1st - LAURINA 4/7f (SP)
2nd - Cap Soleil 10/1
3rd - Champagne Lady 80/1

Probably the easiest winner of the week and 40 of the 150 tip comments were on Laurina.

Billy121only -

"The least appealing betting medium of the 4-days in my opinion but I am in for something to complete the set and LAURINA looks the likely winner. Willie Mullins has effortlessly taken both runnings of this event so far and could well run up a notable sequence. Laurina could have done little more than putting an 11-length gap between herself and her rivals in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse last time in heavy ground and the RPR she achieved there marks her out as a very good mare."

Kim Muir Chase completes day three, good luck in the lucky last.

Kim Muir Handicap Chase Result:

1st - MISSED APPROACH 8/1 (SP)
2nd - Mall Dini 4/1f
3rd - Squouateur 5/1
4th - Double Ross 40/1

Bravest performance of the week so far takes some doing to lead all the way over three miles two around Cheltenham, barely touched a twig, 14 of the 179 tip comments were on Missed Approach.

tward07 -

"In a race like this, you want a horse that stays further than the trip. Often, these amateur riders can go off too quick and get their sectional times wrong so its wise to go with the non claimers that have experience. Codd is obviously the man to go to but the price is gone. Missed Approach was a great 2nd in the 4 miler last year and then struggled to go on the ground in the Scottish National finishing 8th. He has had a quiet season thus far which has ended up with him rated 138(he was rated 145 going into 4 miler last year). He will have been primed for this race and he will love the conditions."

That's day three all done, 1370+ tip comments and plenty of nice winners tipped again for OLBG followers so a big thank you to all members who have taken the time to add tip analysis.

The updated competition table should include all today's settled results shortly after 7.15pm.

Final day underway with the Triumph Hurdle Result:

1st - FARCLAS 9/1 (SP)
2nd - Mr Adjudicator (8/1)
3rd - Sayo 33/1

193 tip comments, 80 for the very short priced fav Apple's Shakira who wasn't up to her first real test and again the recent trends key trial being the Leopardstown Grade 1 Juvenile Hurdle at the beginning of Feb where Mr Adjudicator beat Farclas, roles reversed this time and a nice forecast!

17 members were on Gordon's Elliott charge, the trainer now making it Mullins 7 Elliott 7 so far this week!

Mrjolson -

"Gordon Elliott can do little wrong at present and they clearly rate Farclas very highly having pitched him straight into Grade 2 company at Leopardstown in December. Acquitted himself well finishing 2nd to Espoir d'Allen and then improved further with a close 2nd to Mr Adjudicator a Grade 1 at the same track. Has a bit to find with Apples Shakira but still improving and should reverse the form with his Leopardstown conqueror."

County Hurdle up next, good luck.

County Hurdle Result:

1st - MOHAAYED 33/1 (SP)
2nd - Remiluc 50/1
3rd - Whiskey Sour 7/1
4th - Chesterfield 16/1

7 of the 199 tip comments stuck with the Christmas Hurdle form with Mohaayed and Chesterfield behind Champion Hurdle winner Buveur D'Air.

Baz2014 staking a claim for the top prize having tipped Triumph hurdle winner Farclas and Mohaayed (Each Way) -

"Ten of the past fourteen renewals have been won by horses carrying less than 11-0 and Mohaayed fits that bill, this horse finished third last time out getting within six lengths of subsequent winner and Champion Hurdle winner Buveur D'Air in the Grade One Unibet in December and can improve on his seventh in the Randox at this meeting last year, a previous winner on soft ground and this one also goes well fresh."

Top tipping!!

Albert Bartlett Hurdle up next, keep an eye on the form for next year's festival.

Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle Result:

1st - KILBRICKEN STORM 33/1 (SP)
2nd - Ok Corral 16/1
3rd - Santini 11/4f

Back to back 33/1 shots could shake things up a bit at the top of the competition table, 6 of the 199 tip comments were on the terrific staying performance from Colin Tizzard's charge -

JIBBER JABBER -

"The Colin Tizzard trained 7 year old gelding Kilbricken Storm is a lightly-raced, unexposed, type who is 2 from 4 over hurdles with one of those wins coming on today's Soft over C&D in a Grade 2 three months ago where he stayed on well up the hill all the way to the line and did it in a very fast time. He is a massive looking 50/1 with Paddy Power as I write this and is only that price because 2 weeks later he was well beaten at Newbury by Poetic Rhytmn who re-oposses today. However, he had excuses that day with the 2M 4.5f being on the short side and the race coming only 14 days after his Cheltenham exploits. Three months further on, with stamina in abundance, it will be no surprise to see him staying on up the hill when many of his rivals have capitulated."

The big one up next, good luck.

Gold Cup Result:

1st - NATIVE RIVER 5/1 (SP)
2nd - Might Bite 4/1f
3rd - Anibale Fly 33/1

Cracking race fought out by two top class stayers who had it between them pretty much from when the tapes went up, there was only going to be one winner jumping the last as Might Bite was emptying against a Welsh National winner who wasn't stopping for anyone!

229 tip comments with 29 on Native River who completed a rapid fire double for Colin Tizzard after Kilbracken Storm in the Albert Bartlett.

Arc Jimmy -

"The owners of Native River were on ATR talking of their 2 year plan for this one starting with the Hennessy win at Newbury in 2016 then 1 month later the 1.75L win at Chepstow becoming the Welsh National Champion again on Soft ground, then won 3 runner Grade 2 Denman Chase by 3.25L rating going up to 168, after testing season did well to finish 3rd in the 2017 Gold Cup beaten just under 3L when running on unfavoured Good ground, only 1 run this season prep race for this when winning back to back Grade 2 Denman Chases by 12L on favourite Soft ground, all things in favour today."

Zipster -

"This looks as competitive as the race was last year, many will be siding with Might Bite and rightly so because he has not put a foot wrong this season but I just could not have been anymore impressed with the way Native River returned at Newbury at in February, yes he only faced two opponents but the round of jumping was one of the best I have seen in a few years, he looked superb and looked at he top of his game and in my opinion and fully fit and fully performing Native River beats Might Bite every day of the week. Ran well in this last year, there is no Sizing John this year and Minella Rocco is hard to fancy with the form he is in, for me this is Native Rivers to lose and fingers crossed that will not be the case."

Top stuff guys, the Amateur's Gold Cup up next with the Foxhunters.

Foxhunters Chase Result:

1st - PACHA DU POLDER 25/1 (SP)
2nd - Top Wood 50/1
DH 3rd - Barel of Laughs 14/1
DH 3rd - Cousin Pete 66/1

7 of the 159 tip comments stayed loyal to last year's returning winner Pacha Du Polder,

inatimate (ew) -

"Pacha Du Polder is a well seasoned Chaser with oodles of experience in these kinds of races. He managed to pick up the spoils here last year by the narrowest of margins, and there's every reason to believe that he could go close again once more this afternoon. He struggled to make any sort of challenge when last seen at Doncaster in February, but with a softer ground today could provide the ideal conditions for a decent challenge."

Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle Result:

1st - BLOW BY BLOW 11/1 (SP)
2nd - Discorama 33/1
3rd - Early Doors 9/1
4th - Sire Du Berlais 10/1

A fiercely looking competitive handicap turned into a bit of a catch me if you can and they didn't with 18 of the 168 tip comments on Gordon Elliott's eighth winner of the festival,

Ramsfan101 -

"Shoulders top weight but there is more to come from this one and there’s a strong chance his mark is still good enough to take this. He was found wanting in the grade 1 won by Next Destination in January at Naas but then came out and won at Thurles. Won a grade 1 bumper and has taken his time over hurdles but it does look as though he’s there now and he’s got strong claims here."

TeddyT -

"BLOW BY BLOW has taken a while to get the hang of hurdling but on his last start at Thurles the penny dropped and he routed a Grade 3 field by 14 lengths. Gordon Elliott's gelding was a Grade 1 winner in a Bumper when he eclipsed the then unbeaten Moon Racer at the 2016 Punchestown Festival. Off the track between that win and November 17, he has taken his time to come right but now that he has I feel he could be the future class act lurking in this handicap, such as previous winners Sir Des Champs, Don Poli and Killultagh Vic."

One race to go before this year's OLBG Cheltenham Champion Tipster is crowned, good luck.

Grand Annual Handicap Chase Result:

1st - LE PREZIEN 15/2 (SP)
2nd - Gino Trail 25/1
3rd - Top Gamble 8/1
4th - Theinval 16/1

159 tip comments on the lucky last with 11 members siding with the classy Le Prezien giving Paul Nicholls a double after a quiet first few days.

Tommythetipper -

"Le Prezien ran in this last year as favourite which i think is a good attribute to have so has sights on this race, ran last time out over a trip too far for the last 2 runs is more dominant over a 2 mile trip it has a grade 2 win over tomorrows trip at Cheltenham and has ran to its career best rpr and top speed over the trip its not best at and had a 90 day lay off the last time it had a lay off it ran at cheltenham and lost by a neck to Foxtail Hill a dominant front runner which there is quite a few front runners in here so should be hard early up front i do believe this horse is in form and will go well. good luck."

Well that's it for this year's Cheltenham festival and a big thank again to all members for taking the time to add tip analysis for readers across the four days, we had 1300+ tip comments on the final day making it something in the region of 6000+ over the four days so a massive thank you to one and all.

The provisional final table will update (available to view via the link below) with all today's settled results shortly after 7.15pm tonight and after we've done our final checks over the weekend we'll confirm the prize winners early next week.
