Mullins said earlier today in his stable tour that if Douvan does make it to the festival it is more than likely Champion Chase so I cannot see him going Ryanair at all to be honest.
He also said a few years back that Vautour would only run in the Gold Cup - but at the last minute re-routed him to the Ryanair, due to having so many top class horses with multiple entries you just can't take what he says as Gospel until the final declarations have been made. The QM is a really big ask without a prep run.

Makes his case a lot stronger no doubt. I took 16/1 about Cloudy Dream now into about 7’s in some places and with several above him set to go elsewhere he could half in price again. Still 12's with bet365 and I've topped up again.

I can’t defend his seconditus, 7 of his last 8 runs I think but I do agree I think after some playing around with the trip he is best at this distance and he’s run well around the course before and isn’t too ground dependant. I just think with only Cue Card a certain runner between him and UDS in the betting he should shorten once we get the decs although I could see UDS being smashed in if the ground turns up soft.

Waiting Patiently does not run. Will now be aimed at the Betway Bowl at Aintree.

What do you think the chances are of cue card now going gold cup with sizing John out ? UDS is very short now WP is out and I think the gold cup looks more open now.ive took a stab at 190 on the exchange 😁

You should know more tomorrow when the next set of decs come out. Not impossible but my guess would be no. If he's left in tomorrow you might have a chance to lay that bet off.

The likely soft going has seen the UDS price really shorten now, 5/4.

Price only shortened because Waiting Patiently came out to be fair

"Willie Mullins has told the Racing Post that Douvan will run in the Ryanair Chase and not the Betway Champion Chase against Min after a decision was made to keep the two Rich Ricci-owned start apart."

Guess we know the destination of Douvan now then!
