I like the chances of Killultagh Vic in this, had a good run over hurdles where he jumped big after his long lay off, i still think the horse has massive potential 40's+ worth chancing imo.

Fox Norton or Top Notch, both with more to offer over this trip. Both like the course, both are versatile as regards the going.
Most of the other market principals won’t run, so last year’s runner up Sub Lieutenant looks big at 20s.

Do we assume Un De Sceaux comes back to defend his crown? Or does he jump back to the QMCC if Douvan and possibily Altior don't make it? I would still think he'd line up here.

The horse I like further down the betting is Cloudy Dream. A very consistent type who has possibly more improvement in him. They've given him a few different trips this year but I think this distance could be his best and he goes on pretty much any ground. The yards intentions with him don't seem too clear at this point and I wonder if they too are waiting to see how the QMCC shapes up.

I have tonnes of respect for Top Notch, a brilliant little horse and Yorkhill is the wildcard. Where he actually ends up going is one of the interesting stories in the build up to the festival.

Un De Sceaux sets the standard for sure but I'm also really hoping that the Ryanair is where Fox Norton ends up as I think it's perfect for him, I know he didn't really impress at Sandown when beaten & ran no real race in the King George but the vibes from the stable leading upto that Sandown race were that Fox Norton was flying, my dad spoke to Colin Tizzard & Robbie Power just a few days before, I've backed Fox Norton Each Way at 6/1, may well include Un De Sceaux in a few multiples closer to the day.

For anybody interested The Arkle is one of the races that features in my latest blog that looks at the Starting Price of Winners of a range of Cheltenham Festival races including the Champion Bumper, stats & thoughts to consider :-

Fox Norton out for the rest of the season so won’t go in this.

Fox Norton being out makes this one of the bankers of the Festival for Un Du Sceaux for me. You look at the top four in the betting and it is him, Top Notch who I'm not convinced by and Min and Douvan who will surely be going elsewhere or more likely in the latters case, nowhere at all

11/4 is a big old price

If he does get to the festival then I think Douvan could well line up in the Ryanair rather than the QM , he's surely ready for a step up in trip now and the race will be somewhat easier than taking on the likes of Altior after a year off the track............ a BIG IF though.

Mullins said earlier today in his stable tour that if Douvan does make it to the festival it is more than likely Champion Chase so I cannot see him going Ryanair at all to be honest.

It has top make sense by splitting up Douvan and Min surely? from an owners perspective.
