That’s two good runs for Acey Milan now. Won a listed race at Cheltenham and now has beaten a bunch of horsss that all had some winning experience. I’d had a small nibble at 20’s after the Cheltenham win, I’ve not looked yet but suspect it’ll be a bit shorter now.

Interesting thoughts Gman, I was quite impressed by Acey Milan with that latest victory in what looked a very strong Bumper and I've included a mention of Acey Milan in my latest blog that looks at the Starting Price of Winners of a range of Cheltenham Festival races including the Champion Bumper, stats & thoughts to consider :-

as I mention backing Champagne Fever at 16/1 is my best memory of the Champion Bumper, generally speaking it's a tough race to call as it's very hard to properly assess the relative strength of the English & Irish bumper scene.

Very very tough race,in my opinion always one of the hardest races at the festival to call.

I can however pass on a good word for Phillip Hobb's unbeaten Crooks Peak who is around 25/1 at the moment, not that i follow tips you understand.. :D

Hollowgraphic, a second season bumper horse has the profile of something that should be competitive.

The Irish look to have the edge this year and would be surprised if they don't take the honours. I'm a big fan of the Leopardstown Grade 2 Flat Race in February. The first two pulled well clear of the third and both look very smart. Blackbow quickened well up the home straight to go 2 from 2 in NHF races and is a worthy favourite for Willie though Rhinestone caught me eye in second. He got slightly outpaced when Blackbow quickened away but stuck on well to the line and may just turn the placings round up the Cheltenham hill.
