Hoping that they put Singlefarmpayment away for this, as he is still on a very workable mark. Was still moving very well when he came down on Saturday. A nice, quietish prep run as they did before the Hennessy should have him spot on for another bold bid.

The last few years have seen a few horses run well in this more than once; such as Holywell (1st and 2nd) and Un Temps Pour Tout (two wins).

Alan King has hinted that Yanworth might take a shot at this. He's 14lb better off as a chaser than a hurdler (the Stayers Hurdle looked a possible target) but are they admitting he's not quite as good as they had hoped? There's no doubt his chasing career so far has been a bit up and down with his jumping questionable but he does have some solid course form over both disciplines.

My concern would be if Barry Gearghty were to ride. His style is sit and wait and this is a race where been prominent seems to be important.

Was very interesting to hear Alan King's comments on Luck on Sunday. Seemed Yanworth was destined for either the Stayers/RSA but the comment surprised me as much as Nick Luck! 149 is workable mark and in the typical range for the last four winners: Holywell (145), The Druids Nephew (146), Un Temps Pour Tout (148 and 155). He looks well in to me despite looking below his hurdles form to date.
