The Road to Cheltenham 2018

Postby Brownie3 » Tue Oct 03, 2017 12:05 pm

Death Duty makes his fencing debut this afternoon, 3.50 at Tipperary.

Crack Novice hurdler, wasn't right at Cheltenham and returned sick......he wasn't the only one sick, i had 33's for the Albert Bartlett and he started 6/4 or something equally as short!

I've taken 20's for the RSA.....he looks a chaser and Gordon still holds him in the highest regard!

Fayonagh makes her hurdling bow Saturday, already prominent in many ante post lists for the Mares Novice, Supreme and Neptune.

Last years Bumper winner makes her reapperance in a 2m Hurdle at Fiaryhouse.

yeah, sadly almost not the only one we will lose before March.

Looking forward to trying to get a bit more involved with your threads this year brownie

I have a little trouble keeping up with it, but will be going old school and making some handwritten notes over the winter to refer back to

Just those little nuances that are not noted elswhere and can prove additional info when required, without spending forever going back and watching the races over. Watch the race, make the note, refer back to race only as required

I have had a little AP @33s one the supreme on Sayar after it's initial outing..

It beat Morgan and housesofparliament nto in a 32k race but it's a long way to go to cheltenham

Finians Oscar makes his fencing bow at Chepstow on Saturday.

Huge move for Samcro in the Neptune yesterday, 16's into 8's, positive comments from Gordon and clearly doing the right things at home.

Petit Mouchoir Chase debut at Punchestown on Wednesday

Will be interesting to see what he can do, but despite Bromhead using this race to launch Some Plan last season and scoring at comparative odds of 4/9 that we are seeing for Petit Mouchoir, I don't think I want to be backing him, He will certainly improve and may just want the outing. Elliots Brelade looks the obvious alternative if a bet has to be struck

No doubt though, PM should turn out the best of these over the course of the season, and as a big fan of his as a hurdler, I am very interested to see how he looks over a fence

Campeador out today, lets hope he manages to jump the last. I think he is no handicapper.

Samcro declared tomorrow, is it all hype?

Death Duty runs in the G3 Novice Chase over 2m 2f......can he follow up the debut win.
