Coral CUP RESULT -

1st - SUPASUNDAE 16/1 (SP)
2nd - Taquin du Seuil
3rd - Who Dares Wins
4th - Monksland

Icing on the cake for footy fans and well found by 8 OLBG tipsters including johnqclark, Leysh1984, tbuckley and some great content from Derbz87 (below) -

"Endured a mixed bag of a novice hurdle campaign culminating in a 7th placed finish in last seasons Supreme (1L behind Tombstone, level with Mister Miyagi), moved yards to Jessica Harrington's and won impressively at Punchestown on 2nd start for the yard, 1st try at this trip. He's been tried in successive Graded contests since but found Sutton Place too much to handle. Both this yard and the previous one clearly view him as better than a handicapper, presumably on his work at home and it's interesting given their similar profiles that Tombstone is much more fancied for this than him. If he can bring that to the track he's entitled to prove a fair bit better than 145."

QM CHASE RESULT -

1st - SPECIAL TIARA 11/1 (SP)
2nd - Fox Norton
3rd - Sir Valentino

16 OLBG Tipsters sided with Special Tiara and with Douvan at prohibitive odds all 16 advised Each Way, including Ivan Oddskii, sausagenose, Coney Card's and shrews thoughts are below -

"Special Tiara saves his best form for the spring and for good ground. That's what he has today. Perenially under-respected, he's a great chance of a place here and personally I'm not sure why is a longer price than anything other than Douvan (obviously!)."

"Third in two Queen Mother Champion Chases (6th in another) including last years epic encounter with the legend Sprinter Sacre. Better ground brings out the best in him and it possibly looks like he'll be getting that tomorrow. Good ew potential."

GLENFARCLAS CROSS COUNTRY CHASE RESULT -

1st - CAUSE OF CAUSES 4/1 (SP)
2nd - Bless The Wings
3rd - Cantlow

Plenty of OLBG tipsters were keen on last year's Kim Muir winner to follow up here, including Alexman, Trotski, jerrydayid and Mickey Pearce (below) -

"Won the King Muir at the festival last year in fine style forging 12 lengths clear at the finish. The year before he won the Ultima Handicap chase here and the year before that was a close second again in the Kim Muir. Not many can match that sort of festival record and it is somewhat surprising connections have switched him to this unique event. They must however have good reason and despite struggling on sole attempt around this course in Januray it would be no surprise were he to put in a much improved effort this time. Gordon Elliott, who landed a treble on Day 1, has said that he has been schooled around this course since January and on a day where he looks to have some really good chances of winners it is quite telling that he stated "Probably my best chance of a winner today" about this one.

FRED WINTER JUVENILE HCP HURDLE RESULT -

1st - FLYING TIGER 33/1 (SP)
2nd - Divin Bere
3rd - Nietzsche
4th - Project Bluebrook

4 OLBG tipsters sided with the champion jockey on Flying Tiger, elbeddo advised straight win and the rascal, horage and regent45 (below) all went Each Way -

"Showed improved form when landing a Class 4 event at Newbury in January and subsequently ran creditably in the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton last month. Flying Tiger takes on handicap company for the first time here and with Richard Johnson in the plate he might make the frame today."

Good luck in the bumper to close day 2.

BUMPER RESULT -

1st - Fayonagh 7/1 (SP)
2nd - Debuchet
3rd - Claimantakinforgan

29 OLBG Tipsters were cheering home Fayonagh who came with a right rattle up that hill to collar Debuchet. Some great content from betmanmike, Danielle1690, drogerson, cogsy63, Dbselections, Banjo and sixthformer (below) -

"Gordon Elliott might quite possibly be saving the best to last today with the mare, Fayonagh, who has been supplemented for the Champion bumper having absolutely devastated a half decent field (21K prizemoney) on soft ground at Fairyhouse last time. This is a strong race in which an Irish winner looks likely. Someday is decent and it's not clear which of the two Mullins runners might prove the best. Ruby Walsh's mount, Next Destination, looks the value bet of the two but Fayonagh has to be the selection and NAP, I think."

That brings day 2 to a close, thanks again for some excellent content and tipping advice from members for OLBG followers, we will update the latest table standings here a little later.

All today's Cheltenham tips have been settled and the latest competition table standings can be checked via the link below -

https://www.olbg.com/tables/events.php?id=6

Our day 1 leader marksutherland is still leading the way after day 2, having advised RSA Chase winner the 'wandering' Might Bite for OLBG followers. Plenty to play for with 2 days still to go and just to reiterate the minimum requirement is 20 tips to be placed to potentially qualify for one of the 5 prizes.

The current top 5 OLBG tipsters by level stakes profit are -

- marksutherland - 57.8
- elbeddo - 42.5
- cogsy63 - 34.5
- Leysh1984 - 32.5
- cluckingbell - 31.1

Leysh1984 has already placed the minimum requirement of 20 tips so can be considered the 'clubhouse leader' at the halfway stage.

Good luck everyone tomorrow and thanks again for some great content and advice for OLBG followers.

DAY 3

JLT NOVICE CHASE RESULT -

1st - Yorkhill 6/4 (SP)
2nd - Top Notch
3rd - Disko

Mullins/Walsh combo up and running and many OLBG tipsters kept the faith including Dbselections, Derbz87, Firecracker and attitude adjuster (below) currently in ninth spot overnight in the competition -

"Yorkhill can win this for Mullins who is having a terrible festival,he does jump left which should be okay here and this tear away is the best horse in this race by far.If he gets around he should prove too good and last years Neptune winner does seem to like it here."

PERTEMPS HURDLE RESULT -

1st - PRESENTING PERCY 11/1 (SP)
2nd - Barney Dwan
3rd - Jury Duty
4th - The Tourard Man

8 OLBG tipsters advised the winner, including marussell and jimcarrryyy (below) -

"Taking chance on Presenting Percy to go close here.Won comfortably on heavy ground at Fairyhouse last month over 20f. Placed 4th and 5th in big fields at Punchestown and leopardstown before that. Expecting he will continue that form.Better ground today should not worry much.Trainer Patrick Kelly won this race last year with Mall Dini. Davy Russell was on board that time and he is again will be looking to repeat that.He already had many places in the festival in first couple of days .So expecting he will find winner today.I believe Presenting Percy is worth EW gamble considering current form.Jury Duty looks like main danger."

RYANAIR CHASE RESULT -

1st - Un De Sceaux 7/4 (SP)
2nd - Sub Lieutenant
3rd - Aso

The Mullins/Walsh bandwagon is now gathering pace after stalling the first two days and 56 OLBG tipsters hitched the ride on the winner, including Zipster, safeseen, ulundi, Billy121only, sixthformer and donkosaurus (below) -

"One of the best chasers in the land looks too big here. He is the best horse and this trip should be his optimum. Has previous festival form last 2 years so track and conditions shouldn't be too much of a worry. People are crabbing him for not handling good ground but both those defeats came as a result of facing one of the all time greats Sprinter Sacre (only horse to have beaten him). Has only raced twice so will be fresh enough to set his own pace and put the others under pressure with his fast, aggressive jumping and I can't see any other proper G1 horses lining up against him. Very hard to pick holes in him, and at 11/4 is the biggest price he has ever been and I can't pass this opportunity up."

OLBG Tipster stonewall highlighted Aso's chances Each Way at 40/1.

STAYERS HURDLE RESULT -

1st - Nichols Canyon 10/1 (SP)
2nd - Lil Rockerfeller
3rd - Unowhatimeanharry

Normal service resumed now three on the board for Mullins/Walsh combo, 11 OLBG tipsters were on namely bazzza, bluemal, tattflash, colnatal, regent45 and bowhillbear (below) -

"Unowhatimeanharry is a worthy favourite, but even though they are having a disappointing festival, Mullins/Walsh combination horses cannot be discounted, and in Nichols Canyon, they have a horse with 10 wins and 10 2nd/3rd places from 24 starts.
He fell after jumping the last at Leopardstown in his last race, and provided his confidence has not been harmed, he has minimum place claims."

5 OLBG tipsters advised Lil Rockefller Each Way at nice odds for OLBG followers including Micko70, Canadian Tony, Its Only Money and sausagenose (below) -

"An outsider regularly makes the frame in this race and I'm taking a chance on Lil Rockefeller being the one to do so this year. Although he doesn't have the class of some of his rivals, he is very very tough and will give it everything. He has something to find with the favourite but the quicker ground might help him get closer to him that he did at Ascot."

PLATE HANDICAP CHASE RESULT -

1st - ROAD TO RESPECT 14/1 (SP)
2nd - Baron Alco
3rd - Bouvreuil
4th - Thomas Crapper

The Mouse Morris trained winner seemed to elude most OLBG tipsters, Scoop6 and Ramsfan101 (below) were on the right road -

"Some of his form lines have been left demolished this week by under performing types like Acapella Bourgeois and some plan but then look at the race he was third behind min ( 9 lengths ) and further back beaten 20 lengths is the decent Tully East who won the close brothers chase on day one. With plenty of holes in various form lines where most of the other contenders are concerned as well that appears very decent piece of form and of course we didn't get to see Min run this week. Noel Meade has said this is one of his best chances this week and his style of jumping will suit round here as will the drying ground. Lively contender."

MARES NOVICE HURDLE RESULT -

1st - Let's Dance 11/8 (SP)
2nd - Barra
3rd - Dusky Legend

Win number 4 on the day for Walsh/Mullins, 42 OLBG tipsters celebrating with a victory jig, including jammat001, Jack Conroy, richard1963, the prophet, stod180, The Shark, Dbselections and wildbillsghost (below) -

"A big field but not many likely winners. Mullins has a good hand here, he could have first three home, and with Ruby choosing Let's Dance over Airlie Beach, she has to be the selection. Beaten just once in last five outings, finished second to Apples Jade, she looks the class act despite the drop back in trip."

KIM MUIR RESULT -

1st - Domesday Book 40/1 (SP)
2nd - Pendra
3rd - Premier Bond
4th - Potters Legend

Take a bow OLBG tipster Roland65 went it alone and on the nose to !!

"Put in a good final spurt at Leicester over 20f on testing heavy ground in a class 3 to finish 3rd lto on it's first run for new trainer Stuart Edmunds lto off top weight of 11st 12lb,improving a big chunk in both it's overall speed ratings and ran to figures (best lto ran to figure). It looks worth siding with here showing that kind of improvement.Tries this trip for the first time today and if lasting out could do well at a big price.Trainer had a winner at Huntington yesterday."

In the process thwarted the full pay outs on nice Each Way advice from OLBG tipsters Toadfish85 (last years Cheltenham comp winner), marksutherland (this year's leader) and Derbz87 (below) -

"Don't let the fact that he's been absent since last years Grand National bother you with this one, he goes excellent fresh including winning a Grade 3 handicap at Ascot last season first time up off just 4lbs lower than this mark. He's got low mileage for a 9YO, particularly in this field where some look a little past their best. Good Cheltenham festival form - 5th in last seasons Ultima Handicap, 3rd in the previous years Novice Chase handicap. Loves good ground. One of the best amateur jockeys around and the higher weights have a good record in this so don't let that put you off either, this one carries the weight for a good reason!"

That concludes day 3, Mullins and Walsh back to form with 4 winners and should be an exciting final day with plenty to play for in the tipping competition.

We'll update the day 3 table standings here shortly once the last race result has processed.
