I do like this race.

Took the early 20's and 16's re A Genie In A Bottle.....now Codd rides, always a positive when the best around (Along with Nina and O'Connor) is aboard.

Still like Martello Tower also, ran a terrible race last night, but scoped poorly afterwards. Hoping he makes the trip, might be a close call.

Into 6s with Skybet. I only managed to grab a little bit of 8s once I heard JJ was on board.

The one I would be interested in if he lines up would be American. Ran well over 3m on pretty testing ground when winning LTO, and gave Champers on Ice a decent 5 length beating. Currently 10s, think he's a similar price for the RSA, but with it being NRNB now, this will be much shorter if they try to avoid Might Bite

Have any of the other top Amateurs been booked yet does anyone know?

One of the top Irish Amateurs was booked for Native River last year but then jumped ship near the race. I have a feeling it was either Codd or O'Connor? Can anyone confirm that?

We've added a table of the top Amateurs and their rides in this race on our Cheltenham site here:

Hi Darren, It was Derek O' Connor that was booked for Native River and he won the race with Minella Rocco.

Derek played Musical chairs big time, didn't he jump ship from Noble Endeavor, to get aboard Native River, then dump him for the winner.

Just read an article re Codd, he states in defo rides On The Fringe, but isn't sure what he rides elsewhere?

Can't see him deserting Gigginstown, he might lose a few of those plum Bumper rides he gets!

But, Meade said he had accepted the ride of the fav....now he's not sure?

Is it the press that seem to put the spin on things or the individuals themselves?

Hi Brownie, what I took from Jamie Codds interview was that On the fridge is guaranteed to run in the Foxhunters so he's confirmed that ride and is waiting for others to declare/confirm targets....
I'm looking forward to backing him over the festival, great jock.

If Genie doesnt go 4 miles, i'm giving up this year, 20's in the bag.....after all the injuries, no shows and changing targets, I'm losing the will to live here!

4.50 Cheltenham
An amateur Novice Race over 4 miles makes this very difficult to call. Officially the top rated is Edwulf who is ridden by one of the top amateur jockeys around in Derek O’Connor and was staying on on the only run over 3 miles. Should be able to get the distance on breeding.
