I still wouldn't back melon at 6's even with Willie Mullins been bullish about him, I still think he lacks the prep you would like to see.

I've already backed Ballyandy at 14's Each Way so I'm happy with that value so I'll be looking for something to back with the SkyBet offer in this race.

I think Elgin could be an Each Way angle, he's ran some solid races although found Neon wolf way too good but if NW doesn't come here that helps and when beaten by River Wilde lto he was right there until fluffing the last. He comes into races nicely and the frantic pace might suit him if he can settle. Don't think he's the winner but could be the type to place at a price.

Beyond Conceit at 33/1 would tempt me as it has ran 2 times since moving to N.Henderson winning both but they were are a class 4 and a class 2.Breed from Galileo and Baraka so it should be quick as Baraka ran 1 time in a class 1 flat race and won that.Beyond Conceit has ran 2 times at this distance winning 1 and placing in the other

Stats suggest flat bred horses don't do great in the Supreme- granted stats are there to be broken! His form is also a good bit below in my opinion!

For me that connections are so tempted to put Moonracer in the Champion tells me if he turns up here he'll hose up, he has serious course form and winning form with the fancy of many, Ballyandy, decision will be announced on Saturday so anyone interested in backing should get on sooner rather than later coz I can see him 2/1 on the day if he goes. The melon hype will be a distant memory.

I can't see anything really in Moon Racer that tells me he'll be a Supreme winner.

- His trainer (Pipe) hasn't had a top 5 finish in this race in the last 7 years
- He obviously has his problems. Just six runs at the age of 8
- He had to battle for a win over CD in November versus the 2nd Mirsaale who was beaten 18l, 27l and 64l in his next 3 races. Moon Racer beat him by 2 lengths.
- His Bumper win in 2015 may well have been the pinnacle of his career. Yanworth came out of it well, but Supersundae who finished 7l behind him that day, was 14l adrift of Altior in the 2016 Supreme (and would've hated the better ground in MR's Bumper year).

There will probably be a completely unexposed type from either Mullins or Henderson who will become a potential star over the next 5 years or so, going on to win CH's, Arkles and maybe CC's. Those horse's will probably be Melon and River Wylde. I don't think MR is the calibre to go on to that level.

Having said that, better ground may not suit a lot of these and for me it puts him in the frame. However, I just can't see the win, there will be at least one or two that finishes in front.

Moon Racer diverted to the Champion, the ground likely to dry between Tuesday and Wednesday...surely Neon Wolf runs in this race now ? Yes, there's no Finian's Oscar to beat in the Neptune but the ground is the biggest factor here.

Still happy with Movewiththetimes but i might have a few forecasts on the day.

Boylesports doing a very good offer for the first race all week
