Altior is unbeaten over obstacles, winning 5 Hurdle races and 3 Chases. I will be surprised if he is not a 170 rated Chaser sooner rather than later.
He is officially rated 170 now. That didn't take long :D

He now goes to the Arkle rated higher than Sprinter Sacre in his year and 9 lbs higher than Douvan last year.
The path is clear though no eyes can see the course laid down long before

Barring accidents, ALTIOR must surely win this race, however having just updated my trends based blog I have noticed that there is a score based qualifier who may be worth a small Each Way investment with bet365, as they are NRNB and are offering 1/4 odds for 3 places, when there quite a strong chance that less than 8 runners will go to post, resulting in just 2 places being available on the day.

Will the race cut up and have under 8 runners - if so an Each Way bet now might be good to get all 3 places?

I've put Royal Caviar in a few E/W acca's etc. 16's with 365, 1/4 the odds....Ruby will ride!

I agree with Robmull, Forest Bihan seems to be the value bet in this race.

The JLT now appears to be the more interesting, competitive race. Nice if you're already on Altior but as a spectacle...

One for the forecasts and exactas, perhaps.

Having updated the trends based blog for this race after publication of the remaining entries at the 5 day stage, I have identified a second qualifier that looks worth a small NRNB Each Way investment.

2.10 Cheltenham
Should be a 1 horse race with Altior dominating. Some Plan was going well at Cheltenham when falling in a Grade 2 in November and Royal Caviar had the beating of him latest which make Royal Caviar the 2nd best in this race and worth an Each Way shot.
1 Pt Each Way Royal Caviar 10/1 Boylesports (Free Bet if 2nd or 3rd to SP Fav)
