Do we think Alitor might run in the other G2 on the 27th, The Desert Orchid?

I've had an interest at 6's, then gives Buveur D'Air chance to run in the Wayward Lad?

He'd be shorter than 6-1 if so, wouldn't he ?

Paddy Mullins doesn't sound convinced that Min should be favourite for his race against Identity Thief and, based on their hurdles form, you can understand why. De Bromhead has a few very good 2 milers in his yard now so if ID is making them look pedestrian...

It would be great to see them all in the Arkle in March. No injuries, no excuses. 6 or 7 top class novices over 2 miles at Cheltenham...oh yes !

I have had a good bet at 2's on Identity Thief here to beat Min, its a 2 horse race, and for me, IT should be nearer the 5/4 mark than 2's!

Min now 3s after a thumping victory at Leopardstown. Walsh seemed very happy with the performance.

Not sure if Identity Thief injured himself down the back straight but he'd not been fluent during the race prior to being pulled up.

We didnt get to see a race did we, never mind.

Does this mean that Yorkhill is a JLT horse now?

I hope so !! The Arkle would be a better contest if they all went for the same race but, for personal financial reasons, i hope Yorkhill goes JLT.

Things can obviously develop between now and March but i think Walsh will be convinced that they have the better chance of winning both races if Min goes Arkle, Yorkhill goes JLT. I think that factor is sometimes what people forget to include when contemplating antepost bets with the Mullins yard. Horse A might be superior to Horse B over Distance 1 but Horse B can only win over Distance 1 whereas horse A can win over Distance 1 and 2.

The JLT and Ryanair are considered to be second rate contests by many in the racing media but, in my opinion, both are now excellent races at the festival - Vautour won both and was classed amongst the racing elite. No one will ever complain about those two performances he blessed us with.

Identity Thief back on the mend, according to De Bromhead. Returned to his stable with a few cuts and lacking a shoe but the trainer appears positive. It might be worth backing him at the inflated price if you think it was just a single bad performance.

Ruby says Min reminds him of Kauto.

Dont tell me Wylie has removed his horses from Mullins also :-)

Presume you mean Identity Thief!

Will IT run in the Arkle still? probably not.

Min misses the Irish Arkle on Sunday.

Must be an issue surely?

Willie Mullins says Min has banged a knee. Not serious & had even declared him initially this morn, but decided to err on side of caution.
