I enabled this autocorrect feature yesterday and all my comments that I typed (no, i don't copy and paste it) were gone. I don't know why this happened.

Have I done anything wrong or misunderstood something ?

I disabled it now and the comment is saved as usual.

Hi Wolfgang,

The spellchecker autocorrect feature was enabled for all members overnight on Wednesday, when entering your comments you just needed to check if there were any possible word corrections highlighted with a "red cross" before confirming your tip. Clicking on the red cross will remove the highlighted correction and then confirm the tip as normal. Disabling the feature will revert to allowing comments to be written without any prompted checks before confirming the tip.

First of all thank you, specially useful and time saving for those, like me, not having English as native language.

If helpful I would like to point out some (may be) troubles I found.
a) I am not sure punctuation correction is friendly enough. I am not sure that suggestions like "xxx," "xxx.", more sometimes, are in order when you just wrote "xxx" . It seems to be too much help, retarding the writing.
b) once the red highlight appears for wrong spelling, correction is simple/quick but deletion is not.

Hi James, we have reactivated your comment facility, this was removed a long time back, please remember that the comments need to be your own work and contain valid reasoning for the pick.

New note on the Spellchecker : non English words that have accents (i.e. Córdoba) are suggested by the Spellchecker if you wrote them without the accent BUT you can press a hundred times on the correct word and the wrong word will remain.
