Wilshere is 1.8 with Ladbrokes to make the Euro 2016 squad. I think if he shows his fitness in the next few weeks then Roy Hodgson will take him as he seems to rate the midfielder and he has done well for England.

Ashford 6/1 from 16/1 with BetVictor after last night
Carroll 10/1 from 20/1

Should one of these go? Instead of who?

These are the latest odds to make the squad from BetVictor

Wayne Rooney 1/20
Harry Kane 1/20
Jamie Vardy 1/20
Danny Welbeck 1/4
Daniel Sturridge 4/11
Theo Walcott 1/2
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 3/1
Marcus Rashford 6/1 (from 16s)
Andy Carroll 10/1 (from 20s)

God help us. We'll end up taking a team full of crocks - Wilshere, Rooney, Sturridge etc - instead of the players in form.

Same crap, different year.

Andy Carroll 10/1 (from 20s)
Surely Carroll has more of a chance that Rashford. Rashford hasn't even debuted for the U21's yet and in the last international break Southgate said they wouldn't rush him in to the senior side. Carroll offers a different dynamic to the squad but will need to be more consistent to have any chance of disloging any of the top 5 in the betting.

Baines 3.75 to go? He did seem to be a favourite of Roy Hodgson but Rose who was 10/1 at the beginning of the year now seems in pole position and is 1.25 to go. Bertrand is 1.33.

Andros Townsend looks a decent bet at 16/1 with Bet Victor, Roy has always liked him and he isn't exactly spoiled for choice in those wide positions, I'd take Townsend over Walcott anyday and Walcott is 1/2.

Ben Foster at 11/10 over Tom Heaton looks solid too.

I suppose Walcott could play as an out and out striker if needs be adding flexibility squad wise but totally agree I think Townsend has more of an end product and chips in with important goals perhaps more so than Theo.

Can't wait to see Dele Alli let loose could be a real jewel in the crown, similar to that Spurs guy from the 90's we havn't had many like him since !!

Ladbrokes have cut Wilshere to make the Squad after his 10 minutes on Sunday. He is now 1.4 with them. The best price is 1.67.

Yes quite agree..would rather take
Marcus Rashford and Andy Carroll yes i would pick players in form to.
Then players not had many games to get fit, could easily break down!!
we end players short etc.
Anyway, decide who Hodgson name first, be for decide where we finish!!
And Rooney would be miles behind Kane, Vardy..

Ox out with injury .. Walcott with a price of 1.9 at SkyBet seems to be a nice price to take. what do y'all think?
It's higher odds when u bet, than when u don't!

Roy Hodgson has named a 26-man England squad for the friendlies he can only take 23 for Euro 2016.

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster, Joe Hart, Tom Heaton

Defenders: Ryan Bertrand, Gary Cahill, Nathaniel Clyne, Danny Rose, Chris Smalling, John Stones, Kyle Walker

Midfielders: Dele Alli, Ross Barkley, Eric Dier, Danny Drinkwater, Fabian Delph, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, James Milner, Raheem Sterling, Andros Townsend, Jack Wilshere

Strikers: Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy

Which 3 will he not select?

Will the friendlies make a huge difference?

I wouldn't take Sterling
Milner, Henderson, Dier are similar?

I would take Townsend.

Personally I don't mind the squad he's chosen. I am not as worried about the 3 centre-backs situation as others because Dier can play there. I wouldn't take Rashford, Delph or Henderson.
