gecko6 OLBG v The Bookies year 11-12 (fun only)

Postby gecko6 » Sat Aug 13, 2011 12:05 pm

my record in last 3 seasons of doing this >

season 08/09 > profit 37.5%, ROI 17.3%

season 09/10 > profit 30.5%, ROI 31.3%

season 10/11 > profit 8.75%, ROI 16.6%

* did 40bets first yr, then 30 bets and just 14 in the last season but still shows that if you pick singles and only when you really like the look of a bet, that you can win consistently (even in the EPL!)
will give this a week then crack on with it again and see if I can notch a 4th successive year of profit

unlikely after my generally rubbish footie tipping last season :D

cheers guys

:win:

will kick off today with this for the season...

usualy the 2nd saturday of the season I look to oppose anyone who won on the opening day and vice versa... you often seem to get turnarounds.. some teams get off to a flyer and win the first 32 or 4 but often there is a reaction...

anyway - these days they dont play that 2nd game midweek liek they used to.. and europe is already underway too

so... doesnt leavemuch

utd have the sign over spurs so that should be a home win really altho spurs are better than they used to be in these v big 4 games

villa should have enough v b/burn who arent up to much it seems
fancy norwich to nick a win over stoke but could be held
swansea may hold wigan and qpr may surprise by battling at everton

tricky bunch.. not much value about... could be worth backing liverpool as arsenal arent in the best of sorts it seems for various reasons..

will have a ponder

wise words.. shame I didnt go with any of those thoughts :D

utd spurs tonight... head says utd, heart says spurs of course but... tricky game to call but fancy a low scoring game so under 2.5 at 11/10 looks value... everyone expecting goals so I'll go against that trend and risk thisone

bet > under 2.5
stake > £50

but I didnt pick any of them!

then utd made it worse by finishing us off with a 3rd goal late on.. to ruin my bet and day!

anyway.. on to today..another spur sbet as can see city being hard work today despite thfc's terrific record generally against them

spurs start with crouch upfront and VDV off him.. midfield looks lightweight though to me with modric probably not bang up for it,lennon and bale not firing yet... city look strong upfront to say the least

draw at best fro us but probably a city win as spurs look like they are due a dodgy start..

bet > city -0.25 AH
odds > 23/20 bet365
stake > 50

that came in with ease...

2 wks >

wk 1 > topup £100, loss £50 on bet, bank £50
wk 2 > topup £100, return £57.50 on bet, bank £207.50

net return £7.50
profit 3.75%

didnt think much of yesterday's fare so will go with one today

goals bets always scare me as they are usually 50% and I often go the wrong way! so altho' I like the over 2.5 at carrow rd I actually think WBA will do well as they have been a bit unlucky so far and could nick something here

AH -0.25 is attractive as it gives a bit of cover with the draw (half push) and is 5/4 best whereas +0 is 10/11

actually.. might go with the +0 as a full push is probably sensible in the event of a draw

bet > wba +0 AH
odds > 10/11
stake > £50

nice 1-0 win for the baggies means a winner

returns 45pts profit

3 wks >

wk 1 > topup £100, loss £50 on bet, bank £50
wk 2 > topup £100, return £57.50 on bet, bank £207.50
wk 3 > topup £100, return £95.45 on bet, bank £352.95

strike rate 2/3
net return £52.95
profit 17.65%

cheers TT

ok.. this week, left yesterday alone as looked messy.. and it was

can see spurs 1-1 or 1-2 today

city should see off fulham but you never know.. no value there really

fancy chelsea to blunt utd and that could be 1-0 or 0-0.. poss unders there

stoke getting results currently so could do the same at sunderland but v hard to call that one

think unders in the big game is the shout but im fairly rubbish on unders usually - perhapsliverpool on the AH as they should get something at spurs who havent sparked into life yet
could be a few goals as both can score and liverpool have strikers that could do what city did a few wks ago... spurs need to be full on today or eslse.. their recent good hoem record v l/pool is of no use if they dont get stuck in today

bet > liverpool -0.25
odds > 11/10
stake > £50
