Four lengths up just before the turn for home and got collared two strides before the line. One for the notebook in the coming weeks.

Hope you were on Mr Ex, normally note a dog of interest then miss the winning run :D

Central Park is my line of thinking tonight with the second race.

CENTRAL PARK 4.33 2nd Race D2 265 metres.

Trap One Sleepy Mary

Can understand why she is called sleepy as she is not the quickest from the traps and the race will be gone before she can really start.

Trap Two Spoton Glan Said

Has a chance of getting on the rail but this one looks to be going through the motions.

Trap Three Perfecto Ela

She is only a pup and has middle speed and could be outgunning those on the inside of her, she has broken into 16.80 with a trial but has manage a best time of 17.08 which was her last run and can see her being involved here.

Trap Four Clydagh Tommy

He is quick into action and consistent in times to, with just over the 17.00 on most recent runs but seems to find a trouble spot, this being a drop in grade could be a significant pointer towards him trying to bossing the show, possibly could.

Trap Five Kanturk Tom

Has a 1696 time to his name but does run wide which could see him loosing ground but capable of being involved.
Made favourite last time out in this grade and found trouble, need to get his stride pattern into action an hold a clear lead to win but could be an if.

Trap Six Yankees Princess

Won in D3 with 17.05 and then raised into this grade and not shown the same zest, she may be looking for a clear run and may not get this with trap five taking her wide on the bends.

CONCLUSION

I am looking at the chances of Trap Four Clydagh Tommy delivering the goods but can he last home and have a clear run.

I am going to take him on with Trap Three Perfecto Ela the bitch who is not even two yet and could be well capable of putting paws to the sand and come out quickly from the traps to hold a leading position throughout the race for a result.

Trap Two Spoton Glan Said could be filling the third place position with a clear run on the inside.

Trap Three Perfecto Ela
Trap Five Kanturk Tom
Trap Two Spoton Glan Said

6 x 6 reverse tri cast
6 x 6 reverse tri cast
1 straight tri cast

Trap Three Perfecto Ela to win 15/8 :lose:

Right in the thick of the action but just could not head the four dog who held the challenge of five with our selection in third.

I thought the four dog was going to be favourite.

Gave yesterday a miss after our losing the day before but today a new day and a new week, could be having a good day, we only hope.

Sheffield the place of steel and two two football teams The Owls, Sheffield Wednesday and The Blades, Sheffield United. we are not here for the football but for the greyhounds and a handicap race at 3.44

SHEFFIELD 3.44 Race 7 500 metre handicap

I like handicaps and enjoy working the time out, for each metre the time is .80 and this multiplied by the lengths the front dogs have in hand and then taken away from their best time and this should give you a time that the dog could achieve

Trap One Clare For Clare (12)

She can be leading for a while but whether she can keep the pace up remains to be seen
Her best recent time is 30.66 but take away .96 which is 12 x .80 gives her a time of 29.70, with this figure she can be holding a podium position, maybe not first place but second or third.

Trap Two Robbies Bullet (10)

Won a handicap a couple of races ago from fourteen metres advantage but his working out time of 29.85 could see him being vulnerable.
Bookies favourite and may be favourite once again but he is not the fastest from teh traps and could find trouble.

Trap Three Dippy Michaela (10)

Looking her racing and taken the time from her A8 performance she can make a time of 29.06 and this can bear well for her to be in the mix, she seems to find the trouble spots, if she can be quick from the traps which she can, then she may miss any hinderance from the two dog and could be picking the one dog up before hitting the back straight.
Interesting runner.

Trap Four Leagues Apart (10)

A middle runner and the slowest in the field with a time of 29.91 and this could be seen in her recent outings with last place position, easily over looked.

Trap Five Confident Vail (5)

He is oozing confidence with three runs on the trot and looking for a fourth, his working out time of 29.80 can put him in the picture, when winning his handicap the middle of his three victories he was ten metres, back five metres for this and he will not be leading which may succumb his chances.

Trap Six Casino Deejay (scratch)

I normally hit on the back markers as they are meant to be the best in the field but they can come unstuck with clear runs, possibly hitting the field at the top of the final bend and find there way block and get impeded with challenge.
His best time is 29.82 and he may have to work harder for a result.

CONCLUSION

With the front dog off twelve and three off ten, room for the back marker may be an issue and I cannot see Trap One holding the lead all the way but I think we may see something from Trap Three Dippy Michaela who if she has her trapping boots on could be missing the trouble spots, with which she has found in past races and giving a good display of speed and going past Trap One Clare For Clare well before the back straight beginning and hopefully go clear, with Trap Six Casino Deejay coming into the picture with a strong run for second and the red jacket bitch for third.

Trap Three Dippy Michaela
Trap Six Casino Deejay
Trap One Clare For Clare

Straight Tri cast feel good about this coming true, with these being good prices a reverse forecast could be a saviour 6 x 6 bets

Trap Three Dippy Michaela to win 5/1 :lose:

Good luck folks.

Held every chance but she seems to lost the zest to pass another dog and going through the motions of racing with other dogs.

The joys of getting a winner can be rather limited at times and with all the dog racing on show, manage to find a race that I cannot find a winner to
Possibly today, we could have a smile turning into a broad grin for a result.

Lets head down to the south coast and Hove for a race there to find a wining move.

HOVE 2.52 Race 4 285 metres D1

Trap One Roaming Playboy

He won on the 1st October in D2 with him showing early pace doing a time of 16.79, a few races back he won with a time of 16.66 which could see him being a threat in this rise in grade race. He is a four year old and has had plenty of racing and when he has ventured into D1 races in the past, he has never produce anything of substance, 5/1 for him today, looks understandable.

Trap Two Insane Panther

Ran in an Open on last appearance and was balked with him running rails to middle from trap one.
This isa drop back in grade and could be significant interest, as he can do a very god time 16.49 and he has produce times close to this with runs.
He is three years of age and can go well from trap two with speed from teh traps that can see him lead and with a decent clock to his name, can be of significant interest here.

Trap Three Coolavanny Archy

It has been seven races now since this two year old won and achieved a time of 16.35 plus was 5/4 favourite to deliver, has plenty of speed and can figure in this race.
His last outing in an Open race was over 480 metres in a hurdle race, he may of been just going through the motions of racing and putting up obstacles could be to sharpen him up, could be a big player here this afternoon.

Trap Four Kerrs Dilemma

The bookies have this brindled dog at 3/1 joint favourite of three for this race and I cannot see why, he has been trial racing, possibly due to him being knocked sideways when last seen in a competitive race.
He is a four year old and may not posses the speed that others have here over this sprint trip, as when he has raced over this trip his times does not match up with what is in this field.

Trap Five La Dinero

Been competitive in Open races an has never won a race, could be finding one or two here too good, lightly raced and only two can improve, possibly racing in this status to build a bit of speed up and fitness to play ina another Open race in the near future.

Trap Six Get On Kylie

The only bitch in the race and only wide runner.
She is three years of age and the last time she won in D1 was last April with two on the bounce, has won in D2 since and can run wide at the bends, which is fine if any trouble on the inside but with faster dogs cutting the corner she will be trying to find an extra length or two to be first here.

CONCLUSION

Trap Two Insane Panther to hit the lids running an nt get caught, with Trap Three Coolavanny Archy giving the selection plenty to think about.

Reverse forecast with these two

Trap Two Insane Panther win 3/1 :lose:

Good luck all.

Missed the race and Trap one won the race with our selection Trap two in second place.
