Please post the date, ko time and league along with your selection

There are only two full weekends of English League football in May so there will not be a May competition but all selections will count for the season competition

Good luck to everyone still in with a chance of winning the monthly prize. Some really great tipsters in this thread and I expect a close finish.

This weekend there are quite a few underdog teams that are generously priced up by the bookies but only as I type this out.I do like to get in early to take advantage of the higher prices before they drop at the weekend. After consideration,I am going to tip my underdog from La Liga.

Spain La Liga
Levante v Sevilla
27th Apr 2018 20:00

Levante are 95% safe from relegation.,They would need Deportivo to win all 4 of their remaining matches for them to drop and then they would have to lose all of their games too.Given that Deportivo are at Barca at the weekend and will most likely lose,I cannot see Levante need worry too much. But they are a professional side and will look at Friday nights games as must win to make sure of staying up game anyway.Their form is good anyway, losing just 1 of their last 8 matches and winning 5 of them in that time.Seville are in danger of missing Europe,on a terrible run of form, having not won in any of their last 8 games.Talk about running out of steam.I think Levante with 3 home wins from their last 4 home games, can be sure of safety against a hapless Seville at what is a very generous price on offer.

French Ligue One
Lyon vs Nantes Saturday 28th April 2018
Kickoff 1500 Hrs GMT
Odds: Home 1.25 Draw 5.5 Away 10; by bet365
Lyon,Marseille and Monaco are all in the running for the two Champions League places on offer but having done my analysis i think one of them will slip up.
Lyon are in great form at the moment. They have won their last six league matches. Nantes on the other hand have one league win from their past eleven fixtures.
Lyon however,at home can be erratic at times. They have drawn against the likes of Angers and lost to Rennes and a struggling side like Lille.
Nantes have been generally solid away from home;losing just two of their past nine away league matches.

I am with stretchpaul, in that I think Levante (currently out to 4.5 with bet365) could take the 3pts tonight but with my real cash bets, I will stick with the Asian Handicap to also cover the draw. (maybe put them in some small stake doubles and trebles)

I was also considering Gillingham at 3.75 (Betfair Sportsbook)for my underdog selection, but have eventually decided to go for a Northampton away win at 12/5 (bet365)

Northampton have given themselves a chance of avoiding relegation with 2 consecutive wins against Bury & Plymouth and scoring 5 goals in the process.
Walsall continue in poor form with only 7pts taken from their last 11 games and they have failed to score in 3 of their last 5 home games with results of W1 D0 L4.
Northampton latest 2 wins could just give them the confidence boost they need as they play their last 2 games of the season and they could be worth chancing with a win bet at odds of 3.4

Northampton to win away at 12/5 or 3.4 Saturday 3:00pm

Southamlton V Bournemouth
Premiership saturday at 3.
Bournemouth to win at 43/10 - marathon bet

Bournemouth are 11th while the saints are down in 18th. The bookies must think the fact that soton desperatly need the points is a big factor, but i think Bournemouth will be well up for this as it is a derby game. Also their away form has been decent...9th best team of far away compared to 15th best at home

Wigan v Wimbledon. Saturday 3pm

Wigan have been playing catch up with games after their FA Cup run but they have finally crossed the line with promotion to League One, that should mean they can take their foot off the peddle a little now and with a couple of blanks drawn at home lately Wimbledon will fancy their chances of causing an upset here and gaining a desperately needed 3 points

Another week where a much needed win means i'm turning down a few higher odds matches that don't look bad value (Leic, Shrews & Yeovil all tempted me) to go for a strong fancy with higher possibility of winning. Northampton nearly got my tip too. But its Barnet for me:

Morecambe vs Barnet - League Two Sat 3pm ko

Barnet win @ 2.87 (bet365)

To survive the drop Barnet need to win this match, and next week home to Chesterfield, then hope Morecambe lose away at Coventry next week. In which case Morecambe go down instead of Barnet.

Either way, its a must win for Barnet, although a win or draw will suit Morecambe perfectly. Morecambe are so devoid of goals, the second lowest in the league with 41 all season, and just 4 goals in last 8 matches, that I really favour Barnet. Morecambe are 0-6-2 WDL from last 8 matches, and from a position of safety have suddenly found themselves in serious relegation trouble. The wrong time to hugely lose form.

Barnet's recent revival is the other huge reason Morecambe are no longer safe. Another Martin Allen reappearance at a virtually dead and buried Barnet might again end up with another unlikely relegation avoidance. Barnet are 3-1-1 from their last 5 matches, scoring 8 goals along the way. Having to go for the win i think they'll find the net a few times here. Although obviously they might have to go a bit open at the back in a game they must win.

J League
Yokohama v Kashima - ko 1100

Both sides struggling with Kashima losing their last three away matches on the bounce.
Yokohama are without a win in theirlast five matches and are yet to win in four home matches of which they have drawn two including against high flying Kawasaki.
With both struggling and Yokohama having won their last home match against Kashima might fancy their first home win this season.

Conference 12.20 macclesfield V dagenham and Redbridge - dag 4/1 bet365.

Macclesfield and dagenham are both in decent form , winning 3 of their last 5, Macc drawing the other 2 and Daggers drawing 1 and losing 1. But dagenham have terrific record against macc, although some of it quite a long time ago, but in the three recent meetings they have won 2 and drawn 1.

The danger of course is that macc give a show for the home fans after securing the title and promotion, but the playoffs are not out of the question yet for the daggers so I am hoping they can give it good go.

Zwolle v Willem II - SUNDAY 29TH 1.30pm

Willem at 4/1 with Boylesports.

Home team have been less than impressive since the turn of the year winning only twice and although their home record is a lot better then away from home, they can be taken on today.

Willem will be disappointed with their season, but they did win away last time and have picked up in March, so every chance again today at decent odds.

Struggling to find suitable options this week as the shortlist must be the shortest ever. Of the three teams on that list, Plymouth are the only one at home, Northampton the only one above 3.00, and Barnet the only one in relatively good form.

Plymouth face a Rotherham side above them in the battle to secure a play-off place. The visitors have won their last four matches and will finish 4th whatever happens so may consider resting a few players for this match. Plymouth have only picked up two points from their last three games. As they are not even decent results on paper, they would probably have to raise their game to take the maximum here.

Northampton travel to Walsall having won their last two games. Another win here would see them climb out of the drop zone at Walsall's expense. By coincidence, Walsall's only home win in their last five was a 1-0 win against Bury, while Northampton's only away win in their last five was a 3-2 win also against Bury.

Barnet's recent form sees them in the top ten of the form table for the last ten matches, and only unbeaten Exeter have picked up more points in the last five. Morecambe are not quite safe but a draw here would make them safe, otherwise a point at Coventry in their final match may be required.

On balance, I prefer to favour in-form sides and for that reason, Barnet get the vote.

Saturday 15.00 League Two
Morecambe 2.74 Draw 3.36 Barnet 2.87

Huddersfield vs Everton
Premier League
Saturday 28th October - 3pm kick off

Everton to win @ 3.25 (bet365)

I was tempted to go for Bournemouth as I think they’re over priced against a Saints team in terrible form but I’m going to go back Big Sam’s Everton to beat Huddersfield. Everton haven’t been great away from home this season but they’re showing signs of improvement in general. Their defence is tightening up and with a front 3 of Tosun, Walcott and Bolasie they should be able to nick a goal or two. Huddersfield have drawn more blanks at home this season than any other team and although they beat Watford in their last game they’ve been in poor form generally. That win meant Huddersfield have all but secured their safety whereas Everton will be keen to secure 8th place at least which wouldn’t be a disastrous season and will keep Big Sam employed for next season. I fancy Everton to do a professional job here and come away with the win even if they don’t play the most exciting football.
