Saturday 28th October kick off 3pm

English Premier League

Arsenal v Swansea

8 wins and 2 draws in Arsenal's last 11 league and cup games suggests that rumours of their demise have been somewhat exaggerated. The Gunners have not put a foot wrong at home so far this season and are generally pretty efficient at dispatching the lesser lights at the Emirates. However, they only ever seem to be one bad result away from a crisis, and though there's no firm evidence on this season's form to suggest Swansea can cause a shock, I just have a feeling they might be overpriced. The away side are no strangers to winning at the glamour clubs in the division in recent seasons. Since 2014, the Swans have won at Old Trafford, Anfield and drawn away to Chelsea and Tottenham. Perhaps most pertinently, they have also won this fixture twice in that time. They have only conceded one goal on the road this season and if they can frustrate the home side, it's not beyond the realms of possibility they could nick something on the break.

Anyone looking for an underdog with firmer claims could do worse than Bury, who are marginal outsiders at home to Doncaster. They have been playing better on the road than their results suggest and recently beat Bradford on their own patch. However, I' m going for the really big price.

Friday
Bulgaria Prva Liga
Pirin - Botev Plovdiv
17:45
Botev Plovdiv @2.92 in Marathonbet.

Pirin hosts Botev Plovdiv in the bulgarian league on friday. Pirin is winless in 6 matches but they lost just 2 games during that time as the other 4 games incl most recent 3 were all goalless draws. Meanwhile their opponents are unbeaten in 8 matches after winning 6 and drewing 2 during that time.
Pirin have won 1 and lost half of the 6 home leaguegames so far this season while Botev Plovdiv have won just once on the road this season but they've lost just one away leaguegame(out of 6) so far this season either. These teams have met 9 times so far and although Pirin have won 3 and their opponents 4 of these 9 h2h games then none of those wins for either team came with 2 or more goals as the regular scores were 1:0;2:1 or even 3:2 so i am expecting yet another close game between these 2 sides again on friday with visitors claiming all 3 points here. Botev Plovdiv to win.

Salernitana vs Empoli (ITA Serie B 28/10 1400)

Salernitana are the form team of Serie B right now. They have gone 8 games without defeat,4 home and 4 away. They have only lost 1 game all season and usually are a hard team to beat.Empoli are top of the league but their form is not great. They have lost 2 of their last 3 away games and they dont have a great record at Salernitana with just 1 win in their last 5 meetings here.I think the hosts can get a narrow win in this game.

Salernitana to win@3.39 (bet365)

Monaco away at Bordeaux have far better chances than their odds suggest.

Monaco the Ligue 1 champions have again played well this season, they are 2nd in the league with 22 Pts form 10 matches and a +14 GD. Their recent form is good despite losing twice in the last 3, they beat Caen last match and lost two close fairly even match Vs true quality sides in Lyon 3-2 and Besiktas 2-1.

Bordeaux are mid table with 16 Pts and got battered 6-2 Vs PSG, drew with Nantes at home 1-1 and lost away last week to Amiens which looks far worse form Vs weaker opposition.

Danish Superligaen Friday 18.00 FC Nordsjaelland FC Nordsjaelland Sky Bet 7/4
Picking the away team FC Nordsjaelland in this match as they are in 3rd place in the table and the home team AGF Aarhus are in 10th place in the league.Aarhus have played 7 home teams in the league winning 2 drawing 1 and losing 4 scoring 6 and conceding 11 so they have a average record at home. The away team FC Nordsjaelland have the best away record in this league picking up 10 points from their 6 away games in the league so far winning 3 drawing 1 and losing 2 scoring 15 which is more then any other team has managed in their away games. But the concern would be that they have also conceded 14 goals in their away matches but with AGF Aarhus scoring record at home so far this season i think this will end with a away win.

Staying with my practice of only studying the English leagues leaves an odd situation this week. A fraction under 70% of matches tend to have a home favourite, so 14/46 fits the bill very well. What is unusual is that only 2 home teams are rated above 4.00 and both in the Premier League. In League Two only Chesterfield (3.10) is rated above 2.88, suggesting that a few draws could be on the cards.

However, I am delving into League One and going with the highest home odds outside the Premier League.

Plymouth only managed 5 points from their first 12 games, but 5 more in their last 3. Draws at home to Shrewsbury and away to Blackburn (1st & 6th in the table), have been followed by a win at Wimbledon in their most recent match. Rochdale have drawn their last 3 away games but are yet to register a win.

League 1 Saturday 15.00

Plymouth 3.75 Draw 3.60 Rochdale 2.20

Saturday 28th October
3pm Kick-Off
English Premier League
AFC Bournemouth Vs Chelsea

Selection: AFC Bournemouth @ 5/1 (Betfred)

All in not right at Chelsea right now and I believe it's only a matter of time before Antonio Conte leaves Stamford Bridge. Watford really scared the Champions last weekend in a game that ended 4-2 and that scoreline didn't paint the true picture. Crystal Palace beat Chelsea when the Blues last traveled away and that was after Man City beat them at home. Roma drew 3-3 with Chelsea before Watford and it could easily be four defeats on the bounce for Conte's side so a Bournemouth side who have won two games in a week may well fancy their chances and if Eddie Howe sets The Cherries out to get after Chelsea, the 5/1 with Betfred looks a massive price, and Bournemouth have beaten Chelsea in the League the season before last. Home win for Bournemouth.

28/10/17 19:00 French Ligue 1 Dijon vs Nantes - Nantes to win 2.90

Given the places in the league (Dijon 18th and Nantes 3rd) I'm quite surprised that Nantes are considered the underdog in this game, however small the difference is (Dijon are 2.60 to win). Dijon have won only once at home all season and that was two months ago, and have already lost at home to Rennes and St Etienne. Nantes on the other hand are flying high apart from an awful mid-week cup loss to ligue 2 minnows Tours (where they made a few changes). In the league it is now 8 games undefeated and 3 wins in their last 4 away games. It has the look of another fantastic season Claudio Ranieri and I expect them to carry on their good form.

Sunday 29-10-17 4pm
Leicester vs Everton
Everton 11/4 BetVictor

Everton where the bees knees coming into the season and if this game was September first after Everton had spent so big on talent in the transfer window the odds would be much lower. However Everton have had a terrible run and have just sacked manager Koeman. It’s a fresh start for the team and you often see a improvement out of teams durin management change.

3.00pm Saturday
League 1
Peterboro v Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury @ 21/10 Betfair Sportsbook

Peterboro have taken only 1 point from their last 15 and that run included games against Gillingham and Oldham. Shrewsbury seem to be under rated by the bookies week on week, they are still unbeaten and still top. Shrewsbury have conceded only twice in their last 5 games and look good value here.
