Bayern v Arsenal
home
home/home
under
2-0
Arsenal have crashed out of the Champions League in the last sixteen in the past six years, twice at the hands of Bayern. The Germans may have the edge again. They have won fifteen European games on the trot at the Allianz. They have won ten of their last eleven games, drawing the other and are undefeated at home this season in the Bundesliga conceding just five goals. They may benefit from having a winter break. The Gunners won here a few years back but as always with Wengers side it depends which Arsenal side turn up. They lost their last three Premier games at top seven clubs, Chelsea, Man City and Everton, conceding two or more in each. This may be another tough night especially if the defence allows chances for Lewandowski, thirty goals in thirty three games for club and country.

Real Madrid v Napoli
home
home/home
under
2-0
Real have lost just one of their last thirty three games at the Bernabeu in the Champions League, winning twenty eight. They have scored in forty consecutive games in all competitions and are strengthened by the return of key defenders Marcelo and Carvajal. Ronaldo has scored in the last three games and he could be the difference between the teams. Napoli are on a run of eighteen matches without defeat but they have lost the three Serie A games they have played against top five clubs in the table. Real won by two goals to nil when the clubs last clashed in European competition here, a punt on the same outcome

Wednesday 15th February - Champions League (Last 16') -
Bayern Munich v Arsenal - 19:45pm - (BT Sport 2')

1x2: Bayern Munich
HT/FT: Bayern Munich/Bayern Munich
Over/Under: Over
Correct Score: 3-1

Bayern hosts Arsenal. Bayern is unbeaten in the last 12 games and they've managed to win 11 matches during that time. Bayern is also still unbeaten at home this season where they have failed to win just 3 times - all those matches ended with a 1:1 draw. Arsenal have won 3 of the last 5 games and they've lost 3 awaygames this season so they probably won't take too many risks. Bayern have won half of the 10 h2h matches including 3 of the 5 at home. Last encounter was 5:1 to Arsenal but i expect more closer game this time around.

Wednesday 15th February - Champions League (Last 16')
Real Madrid v Napoli - 19:45pm - (BT Sport 3')

1x2: Real Madrid
HT/FT: Real Madrid/Real Madrid
Over/Under: Over
Correct Score: 3-2

Real Madrid hosts Napoli. Real have lost just 1 homegame all season however that defeat came few weeks ago. Napoli is unbeaten in 18 games since last losing a football game back in the last days of october. They've also lost just 3 awaygames so far this season. I'm sure that both teams are well aware of barca's yesterday's result so i expect both of them to be focused. Napoli probably wants to get that away goal or 2 and if they do get i think that they aren't that sad should they lose(assuming they won't be humilated ofcourse) but i wouldn't be suprised if Real shuts their defense down, scores 2 or 3 to put this tie to bed(probably)

Wednesday 15th February - Champions League
Bayern Munich v Arsenal - 19:45pm -

1X2 Bayern
HT/FT Bayern/Bayern
Overs/Unders Overs
Correct Score 3-1

Bayern qualified second, behind Atletico Madrid from Group D. They won 4 of their 6 games, wiining all three home game, by an agg of 10-1. Domestically they are top, 7 points clear. They are unbeaten at their Allianz Arena home, winning 10 of 13, scoring 27 and conceding just 5. They have not lost in their last 11 competitice games and they beat Arsenal here in the knockout stages in 2015, 5-1. Arsenal topped Group A and were unbeaten in their 6 games. They have been less commanding in the PL however, losing 4 of their last 10 games and have lost 3 of their last 5 away games. They have a habit of flattering to decieve and whilst they can look like worldbeaters one minute, they are often found out, by well organised defences, where they struggle to make their possession tell. They also have too many top players who fail to influence games consistantly and who can become anonymous. Bayern have a star studded team, with threats all over the pitch. Added to that the likely atmosphere, it is hard to look past them. Home win, but Arsenal to sneak an away goal.

Wednesday 15th February - Champions League
Real Madrid v Napoli - 19:45pm -

1X2 Real
HT/FT Real/Real
Overs/Unders Overs
Correct Score 2-1

Real Madrid finished second in Group F, behind Borussia Dortmund. They were unbeaten, but drew 3 of their games and were suspect defensively, conceding 10 goals in 6 matches. There is no doubting their prowess going forward, but they offer up chances, which Napoli can prosper from. Napoli topped Group B, but did lose at home to Besiktas. Domestically they are on fire at the moment and are unbeaten in their last 15. They are currently third in Serie A, but are a very dangerous side as they score so many goals, 57 in 24 Lge games, with 27 of those in 10 away games. They are very strong at home, so I think that they will be happy to come away from the Bernabeu, with a narrow defeat and an away goal.

Correct Score: 2 ~ 0

Arsenal’s defence has not been at it’s best with recent defeats to Watford and Chelsea. Arsenal were lucky to beat Hull City in their last match when every important controversial decision went in their favour. Bayern Munich should get a first leg lead with a domestic home record with no defeats and seven wins. The Germans have scored nearly at an average of three goals a game and have only conceded five goals from ten fixtures.

Real Madrid are the real monster team left in the tournament. They top the Spanish league and have a plethora of star names to come to their aid. Real Madrid have only lost one fixture domestically all season from twenty games and that was away. At home they have won nine and drawn only two. Napoli have not got a great away record having lost twice in the league.

BAYERN MUNICH v ARSENAL

1x2: Bayern Munich
HT/FT: Bayern Munich / Bayern Munich
Over/Under: Under 2.5
Correct Score: 2 - 0

Even though Bayern aren't as sure-footed as they have been in previous seasons they are still an extremely consistent team, especially at home. They haven't lost a single game at home this season in all competitions and they are holding the current UCL record for longest winning/undefeated home streak. On the other hand, Arsenal, while being one of the bigger names in world football, aren't exactly world class at the moment and their current form isn't anything to write home about. I don't expect this to be a glamorous game in any way but I expect Bayern to get the job done with a goal each side of halftime to get a comfortable lead before their visit to the Emirates. Bayern has seen Arsenal off and out of the UCL 3 times in recent years and the English team will have to put their everything in the reverse fixture to have a chance at qualifying. Tonight's game should go Bayern's way though.

========================================

REAL MADRID v NAPOLI

1x2: Real Madrid
HT/FT: Real Madrid / Real Madrid
Over/Under: Over 2.5
Correct Score: 2 - 1

SImilarly to Bayern, RealM are en extremely consistent home side. They've had their hiccup against Celta in the Copa del Rey but they should be past that and ready to take on this Napoli side. To Napoli's credit, they are very good team which is a joy to watch and Callejon is definitely someone to watch out for as he will have some extra motivation to shine against his old team. I do see Napoli getting one past Madrid's defence but RealM should be able to outscore them and secure the home win. Having said that, I expect it to be a narrow 2-1 win which would leave the door wide open for Napoli if they are able to show up for the 2nd leg of this fixture. Sorry for shorter write-ups (running out of time) and good luck to everyone!

Manchester United v St Etienne

Man Utd
Man Utd - Man Utd
Under 2.5
2-0 to Man Utd

Man Utd are on an excellent run of form with just 1 defeat in their last 22 matches. At home they seem unbeatable with a 13-6-0 record in their last 19 home matches with 5 home clean sheets in their last 6 matches. Saint Etienne are on indifferent form with a mixture of wins & losses recently. Away from home they have struggled with 2 losses on the bounce. I think this will be a reasonably comfortable win for United.

Man Utd v St Etienne
home
home/home
under
2-0'
United hosted St Etienne in the Cup Winners Cup in the seventies at Plymouths Home Park having been told to play the home tie away from home after fisticuffs in France. They won two goals to nil and a similar margin of victory is feasible. Les Verts have lost on all three previous trips to England whilst the Red Devils have not lost at home to a French team in twelve meetings, winning nine. United have won eleven of their last fourteen European games at Old Trafford, drawing the other three. They have won eight, drawing two, of their last ten domestic home games, winning six by two goals or more. St Etieene have won just three of twelve away games in Ligue un.

Thursday 16th February - Europa League (Last 32 - 1st Leg)
Manchester United v St Etienne - 20:05pm - (BT Sport 2')

1x2: Manchester United
HT/FT: Manchester United/ Manchester United
Over/Under: Over
Correct Score: 4-0

Jose Maurinho is expected to name a full-strength squad for this match against St. Etienne, although they have FA Cup match at the weekend. Manchester United are in blistering form at home, maintained undefeated in their last 19 matches and have secured 13 wins in the process. Throughout the season, Manchester United having problem on scoring goals and need to improve on their finishing in order for them to secure a comfortable win in the first leg.

Saint-Etienne still found themselves 5th in Ligue 1 standings although their performance not really convincing this season. However, their solid defense helps them a lot where they have only conceded 19 goals so far. They are unbeaten in their last 10 Europa League matches and unbeaten in 4 of their last 5 matches on the road.

I’m sure Manchester United try to score and kill the game as early as they can. Manchester United are undefeated in their last 12 European matches against sides from France at home, and shouldn’t have any problem to further the record tonight.
:hope:
