Wednesday 25th January - England League Cup (Semi-Final - 2nd Leg)
Liverpool v Southampton - 20:00pm

1x2:......................Liverpool
HT/FT:..................Liverpool/Liverpool
Over/Under:.......Over
Correct Score:.....3-1

Liverpool knows he must return to his best days to deal with Southampton and qualified for the final tournament League Cup. But the Saints come eager to finish the job and reach the battle for the trophy for the first time since 1979-a year. The Reds had a lot of problems on the south coast and were lucky that they lost with 0: 1, this minimum liability puts them in a very good position to make a turn. But for that they must not only mark, but to be solid in defense, which lately is not.Since the beginning of 2017 and the Merseysiders have only one win in six games in all competitions as they scored 6 goals and conceded 7, which definitely can not bother Jürgen Klopp.German might bet in defense of Joel Matip, who now has the right to play after problems with Cameroon. But the attack is also crucial as the hosts need goals to continue Koutinyo, Firmin, belching and Sturridge will have to deliver them.Statistics show that 53 households in the history of the race against elite rivals Liverpool failed to score in only 4 games that definitely brings optimism to attack now, and only Aston Villa has more hits than red, which is also revealing. But the fact is also that in both games against Southampton until the season Klopp's men failed to realize, which of course will give confidence to the guests. For them probably will be absent important defender Virgil van Dijk, who has a problem with his ankle, which will probably influence. The match seems very difficult to predict, but because of their household Liverpool has a slightly better chance. Certainly Southampton will be ready for a strong fight and not going to be a big surprise if he and eliminate opponents.

Wednesday 25th January - England League Cup (Semi-Final - 2nd Leg)
Liverpool v Southampton - 20:00pm - (Sky Sports 1')

1x2: Liverpool
HT/FT: Liverpool/Liverpool
Over/Under: Under 2.5
Correct Score: 2-0

Liverpool hosts Southampton in the second leg of this season league cup semifinal. Southampton won the first game 1:0 and after losing 3 games in a row they have now lost just 1 of the last 5 games. However they are still winless in the last 3 matches away from home although draw tonight will be enough for them to make it to the next months final. Liverpool have won just 1 of the last 6 games and they've lost just 1 homegame all season although that loss came on saturday where according to Klopp 8 players forgot how to defend. So i expect Liverpool to be more careful in defense now and assuming Matip starts then Liverpool probably wont lose.

LIVERPOOL v SOUTHAMPTON

1x2: Liverpool
HT/FT: Liverpool / Liverpool
Over/Under: Over 2.5
Correct Score: 3 ~ 1

Liverpool have Won 2, Drawn 2 and Lost just 1 of their Last 5 Home Games having Scored 9 Goals whilst Conceeding 6 Goals, Whilst Southampton have Won 1, Drawn 2 and Lost 2 of their Last 5 Away Games in all competitions having Scored just 5 Goals whilst Conceeding 6 Goals, Which would suggest that Liverpool have shown marginally better form and firepower, Which is supported by the fact that Liverpool have Scored in 4 of those 5 Home Games and Scored at least 2 Goals in 3 of those 5 Home Games, Whilst Southampton may have Scored at least 2 Goals in 2 of those 5 Away Games but have notably Failed to Score in 3 of those 5 Away Games, Which edges me in favour of marginally superiour firepower shown by Liverpool in those respective Last 5 Games to secure Home Win this evening.
Whilst looking for Scoreline, With Southampton having Failed to Score in 3 of their Last 5 Away Games in all competitions a Liverpool Clean Sheet would be the obvious selection, But with Liverpool having shown fragile defense throughout this Season with Southampton knowing that just 1 Goal would make Liverpool's job so much harder as Southampton already hold 1 Goal margin over Liverpool after Winning Last Meeting (reverse fixture) with 1-0 Scoreline edges me in favour of Southampton Scoring this evening to ensure Liverpool will have to be at their best to ensure Qualification through to Final at Wembley, But with Southampton having been so poor in-front of Goal throughout Season i'm edged in favour of Southampton Scoring just 1 Goal, But with Liverpool having Scored at least 2 Goals in 3 of their Last 5 Home Games with the fact that if Southampton Score then Liverpool would need to Score minimum of 2 Goals to ensure Extra-Time and 3 Goals to ensure Qualification through to League Cup Final with Liverpool also very likely to field Full-Squad of Senior Players including Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Firmino, Origi, Sturridge and Coutinho to ensure their route to Final edges me in favour of Liverpool Win, And although tempted with 2-1 Scoreline due to an expectation of Both Teams Scoring and Liverpool Win, But with Liverpool needing minimum of 3 - 1 Scoreline to guarentee Qualification if Southampton Score this evening with the fact that Liverpool have Home advantage where Liverpool have Scored so many Goals this Season edges me in favour of 3 - 1 Scoreline in Liverpool's favour to ensure Qualification through to League Cup Final.

The Saints won the first leg by one goal to nil but their home form is in stark contrast to their road form. They have lost at Hull, Crystal Palace and Burnley this season. Tonight they are without key defender Van Dijk, Fonte has left as well. Liverpool have had an insipid start to the new year with just one win in six games, at second division Plymouth. Klopp names a strong side with Sturridge up front In fifty three previous league cup games against top flight opposition at anfield the reds have scored in fifty one of them. The Pool to score with a clean sheet appeals. Two of the past five meetings here were one nil to the Reds

Liverpool v Southampton

The reasoning: Liverpool have had some disappointing results recently, but going on the Premiership (where they are 18 points ahead of Southampton), they have scored 10 goals in their last 5 games. Southampton have scored 5 goals in their last 5 Premiership games, at the expense of conceding 10 goals---and they have only won two away games. So given that this is a home fixture for Liverpool, taking them to reverse the first leg which Southampton won 1-0, and to win by more than a single goal.

I can't see anything other than a comfortable away win here for Jose Mourinho and his outstanding team that are on the verge of total domination of the English and possibly even European game. Their squad is so packed full of top level talent that have all been grown organically via their top notch youth system, the rest of us should just bow down to their superiority and Hull City have no chance tonight and know their place. Hull City have never beaten Man Utd and they'll have their bellies tickled tonight as the powerhouse of world football smash their way into the final.
Best bets on Huddersfield v MANCHESTER CITY

Sadly this scoreline will not be enough to see Hull City reach the League Cup final but I do think they will give a good account of themselves tonight just like Southampton did last night at Liverpool. It has to be said that Hull have looked much better under Silva. They beat fellow struggles Swansea and Bournemouth here with ease. They went to Man Utd and Chelsea and gave very good accounts for themselves, not getting walked over at all.I see a similar trend tonight.True,if Man Utd get the first goal the uphill battle will become vertical but if Hull play like they have been doing then there is a good chance they might get the opener. If that is the case then I can see the game going like last night, tight, compact and very nervy. Will be in interesting watch. No Tigers fans expect them to overturn a 2-0 deficit but we do expect a competitive game.

Despite a lift in their recent results i think Hull players will be rocked by the recent selling of their Striker Snodgrass, it seems that the owners are accepting the drop to the championship and they are getting rid of some wages before that happens. Will the players be up for this game , I am not sure and apparently they have 8 players out with injuries. Manu have a full complement to pick from and with the league slipping away I suspect that Jose will be wanting some silverware on the shelf to justify his spending to the board and the fans. So for me its an easy Man u win

Manchester United hold a good two goal lead from the first leg. Hull City have added Liverpool striker Lazar Markovic on loan, so he might play as his parent club won’t be needing him in the competition this season . Hull’s new manager Marco Silva looks a decent appointment but his hand is being weakened by the board selling off key players in the Hull first eleven. Ultimately, Manchester United hold all the cards from the beginning and even a home goal won’t be enough. Manchester United have plenty of good players in reserve so they will probably have enough to win the tie tonight.
