Manchester City’s scoring quality is now legendary. They continue to dominate in the league and are still aiming for four competition wins. Manchester City have an excellent midfield and they should win today’s game through the central areas. Liverpool have also been amazing in attack but that has been somewhat broken up with the sale of Coutinho. We will have to see how they are affected. Liverpool have made their defence a bit stronger with Virgil van Dijk but it remains to be seen how improved they are. Manchester City won’t be stopped and we will see how Liverpool’s defence do.

Game 14 - Sunday 14th January
Premier League - Sky Sports Premier League
Liverpool v Mancheter City - 16:00pm

1x2:........................Draw
HT/FT:....................Draw/Draw
Over/Under:......Under
Correct Score:....1-1

Liverpool have won their last four Premier League home games against Man City also Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 14 home league games with four draws and ten wins but Liverpool will have to shake off the loss of £142 million man Philippe Coutinho from attacking midfield the only good thing is they've tightened up at back getting Virgil van Dijk at half Coutinho’s price and he made a decent start with the winner against Everton in the FA Cup . He'll pitch in with goals from set-pieces like he did at Celtic and Southampton but his main job is to sort out the defence although at home a surprising stat is Liverpool have conceded just four goals .

Mancheter City hammered Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad but have lost four out of five at Anfield and haven’t won there since 2003, Pep Guardiola’s Man City side are unbeaten in 17 and of course remain unbeaten domestically after surviving an EFL Trophy scare against Bristol City and their still on course for the quadruple , Three domestic Trophy's and the Champions League, CL is Pep main aim which allows them to play Europa League winners and then World Club Championship could be a promising 2018 year if they get them ALL ,

Its all building up for attacking football with Liverpool v Arsenal 4-0 - Liverpool v Chelsea 1-1 - Liverpool v Man Utd 0-0 and Arsenal v Liverpool 3-3 ,Tottenham v Liverpool 4-1 but if you look at Man City against the top five teams they've played two away won at Chelsea 0-1 , Man Utd 1-2 also won at home to Liverpool 5-0 , Tottenham 4-1 and Arsenal 3-1 , Liverpool have only took 6pts from 18pts against top five teams where as Man City against other five teams is 15pts from five games played I can't see Man City getting beat but draw or Man City looks a safe bet at bookies for this comp Draw

Man City
Man City - Man City
Overs
1-3

I really don't have a clue about this game, probably the biggest test of the season for City especially considering how good Liverpool were against them in the first fixture before the red card. City look a different animal since the first game and have Stones back after injury. Liverpool will have to do without Coutiniho which is a blow. Goals look likely with two attacking sides and Salah a likely starter. City and Pep may just have enough to win this but I don't expect it being easy.

The highest scoring teams come head to head at Anfield. Should be a goal fest, with Liverpool trying to not only avenge their 5-0 drubbing earlier in the season, but climb above Chelsea and put a bit of daylight between themselves and Spurs. Man City certainly won't be parking the bus, and if an early goal goes in, this should be a cracker. A banker for BTTS.

Liverpool v Manchester City

1x2: Draw
HT/FT: Draw/Draw
Over/Under: Over 2.5
Correct Score: 2-2

The 18 point gap between the two clubs paints a clear picture with regard who is the better team at this moment, regardless of all the media hyping up Liverpool's chances of being the 1st team in the Premier League to beat us. However, I have to at least respect the fact that Liverpool are unbeaten in 13 in the league and also take note of our very poor record at Anfield, a record that has seen us win just once in the Premier League era and that was way back in May 2003 when French striker Nicolas Anelka bagged a brace to give us the 3 points at Anfield. Personally, I'll be very happy to remain unbeaten after this game and with the attacking talent on show, this could be a high scoring game so with that in mind, I'll go with a 2-2 draw which will also preserve our 18 point lead on the media darlings Liverpool.

Man City have proven they are the very best by beating rivals in their own back yard. They have won at both Chelsea and Man Utd this season who are just below their league position.Liverpool will give their all but they have won only 4 of their last 9 home games.Man City have won 10 of their last 11 away matches and I think the bookies can close the book on them winning the league if they win here too.I expect nothing less but we should see a good few goals.

Premier League

Liverpool v Manchester City

1x2.........Liverpool
HT/FT.....Liverpool / Liverpool
O/U........Over
C S.........Liverpool 3 Manchester City 2

Both sides won their FA Cup matches last weekend while City also won narrowly against Bristol City in League Cup in midweek. This will be City's big test as Liverpool are unbeaten at home with 6 wins and 5 draws in 11 matches at Anfield. City stuttered to a 1-0 win away at Newcastle before drawing 0-0 at Palace where they were lucky as the hosts missed an injury time penalty, so Liverpool might fancy their chances of becoming the first side to beat City in the league and they have not lost at home to City since 2003.

Liverpool v Manchester City

1x2: Draw
HT/FT: Draw/Draw
Over/Under: Under 2.5
Correct Score: 0-0

This is a game where most pundits will expect plenty go goals , they two teams are leaders in goals scored with 114 between them 60 for city and 54 for Liverpool. On goals conceded Liverpool have let in almost twice as many goals as City 25 v's 13. However Liverpool have only conceded only 3 at home and City have only conceded 5 away from home. So there is a strong possibility that defences will prevail rather than attacks.

As such I am going to go for a 0-0.

Liverpool v Man City
1X2: DRAW
HT/FT: DRAW/DRAW
Over/Under: UNDER
Correct Score : 1-1

The reasoning: A clash of the heavyweights. Man City are the Premiership leaders and with 20 wins and 2 draws from their 22 league games, are unbeaten. They are 18 points ahead of fourth-placed Liverpool. And they won the reverse fixture back in September 5-0. However, Liverpool are protecting an unbeaten home record. From their 11 home games, they have posted 6 wins and 5 draws, and have only conceded 4 goals at home in the process. Man City haven’t actually won at Anfield since 2003. The respective GD stats over the past five games point towards a draw. Liverpool’s are 16:5 (+11). Man City’s are 12:2 (+10)
